Please, I feel sooooooo bad, i put all my heart in trying to make them grow, I read hundreds of hours how to do online, got many equipment...
Everything was perfect for 1 week, then under the 400 watts metal hallide... and here is what i found an hour ago...

I live in a hot country (30 C all year long, tropical, humid), I used "seed up" soil (the best i could find here it seems neutral in PH but strangely, after i water I check the PH again and it s somewhere between 5 and 6 although I water with bottled mineral water)... It is my first grow indoor, I keep air conditioning on to maintain not over 25 degrees celcuis, didn t overwater (waited for soil to be dry), set up lights on 18/6 cycle... I am disgusted, please tell me what went wrong :(:sad::sad::sad::wall::wall::wall:

its not dead yet. its just streached for the light and fell over cuz the steam is weak. move the light a bit closer and stake up the plant..

just bury the bottom portion of the stem and it'll stand back up. also get a small oscillating fan in there. the constant stream of air will help strengthen and thicken up the stems.

are you using a t5? if so, then you want to get that as close as possible to the plants, like an inch or two away. anything past 3 inches or so and your plant will stretch and wont be able to support it's self.

because it got to tall to support it's self.

I just re-read your original post and noticed you said you are using a 400w mh lol. still if you can put your hand between the light and the plant and it's not uncomfortable to you, then your plant is fine. you want to get the light as close as possible with out burning it, or it will stretch up for more light and the stem will be weak.

it could be heat or humidity stress as well. you just gotta look at all the different elements of your grow and make sure things are in check.

some people just don't understand plain english..:o
If you must know, when a plant grows tall the stem usually grows in thickness that corresponds with the new height. When a plant gets insufficient light, it grows upward rapidly. When it does this it doesn't grow any thickness, it only grows straight up. So when a seedling stretches like that the stem isn't thick enough to hold up the weight of the leafs at the top so the stem buckles under the weight and falls over.

If you look good on the top of the second picture, you see the silhouette of a 400 watts metal hallide and right near the plants are 1 fluo tube and 4 x 38 leds daylight (7000 k), the plant felt over while under full power of the 400 watts + fluo + leds ... That's not enough ???
I just found out that the Ph of this s#@t soil is near the 5 ... I replaced by 100% worm casts waiting for the bag of FOX OCEAN i ordered... Could an acid soil be the cause of this sad event or is it just the lights ?

PS : of course the 400 watts MH is switched off on the pic... And sorry I should have read better... It s true that english is not my first language

it might be to much light for it actually. you might want to back off the 400w mh for a week or so. seedlings can be sensitive about how much light they need. a lot of people use floro's or cfl to get their seedlings up to a few nodes before putting it under a mh or hps

i saw one do this while it was still in the sprout box, the guy removed the lid so it could get some air, he turned of the lights for 4 hours, when he came back it was magically standing on its own again! Turned the lights back on.. everything went well and he got a nice purple tipped plant.

That has nothing to do with stretch, don't look to be more than a few inches, i've had seedlings stretch 6" under a fan and still not blow over. Something has weakened the stem is my thinking. As said though, pile up some dirt or losely tie it to a small stick :)

Seriously, whatever the last guy said, mound some dirt around the base of that motherfucker. Then put a fucking 6500K CFL about 1 1/2 inches over it. Then do whatever you want with it after two weeks. But get that 400 away from it!

impossible to keep up, the stem appears "flat" at the point where it weakens ... It has officially past away... R.I.P... Simple question though : COULD A SOIL OF PH TOO ACID DO THAT ?

Look bro, I really appreciate your help (you did help in your first reply in this thread) but I would appreciate you answer the question I asked and not one I didn't ... I have a PH meter (electronic) and I carefully checked the soil and it shows 5 to 5.5 in PH... My question is what would be the signs of a too acid soil ? Could they been similar to what happened to my little rock star ? ... If you really want to know what kind of soil is used, i uploaded the picture just for you "mygirls" (...) ... here but I have to say that personally, looking at the bag, hmmm I have no clue ! Maybe your thai is better than mine... go ahead bro... :
