Just came across bay news 9 if we the people of Florida pass medical marijuana the federal government will peruse charging those who openly grow in there yards and those whom open MMJ dispensaries. One Big WTF!!?? Did they not get the memo from Obama. He fired the last guy ho went against him on the matter. If you disobey your boss he will fire your ass! Man im pissed! :leaf:

I'd figure its a favor bro. You have to actually get a license to do all that as well as a special vending permit to sell it legally. There are courses in college that you can take to actually learn how to grow weed (only in California I think) Look at it this way would you rather have a licensed old head who has grown dank for years, or some fuck ass high school kid who has no clue what hes doing and probably just gonna grow some shity mids? This means nothing to the people who are consuming/buying it. :dunce:

I would like to move to florida, but don't want to move my legal med grow from michigan. It would be cool if they had medical marijuana in fla.

Washington, D.C. -- The U.S. Justice Department says that marijuana dispensaries and licensed growers in states with medical marijuana laws could face prosecution for violating federal drug and money-laundering laws.

In a policy memo to federal prosecutors obtained Thursday by The Associated Press, U.S. Deputy Attorney General James Cole said a 2009 memo by then-Deputy Attorney General David Ogden did not give states cover from prosecution.

In 2009, the Justice Department told prosecutors they should not focus investigative resources on patients and caregivers complying with state medical marijuana laws.

The new memo says that view has not changed.

"There has, however, been an increase in the scope of commercial cultivation, sale, distribution and use of marijuana for purported medical purposes," says the new memo by Cole.

The deputy attorney general said within the past 12 months, several jurisdictions have considered or enacted legislation to authorize multiple large-scale, privately operated industrial marijuana cultivation centers.

"Some of these planned facilities have revenue projections of millions of dollars based on the planned cultivation of tens of thousands of cannabis plants," Cole wrote.

Cole said that the Ogden memorandum "was never intended to shield such activities from federal enforcement action and prosecution, even where those activities purport to comply with state law."

On Thursday night, Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler said that the medical marijuana statement by Cole does not represent a new policy, but rather clarifies the policy, as reflected in recent letters by U.S. attorney's offices to officials in a number of states.

I hope we adopt some mmj laws around here. We have the worst pill problem in the country, but you don't see the feds intervening in the pill mill rings down here. It's pretty sick (not good sick).

It doesn't even really matter. We still need over 600,000 signatures by February of next year lol, we haven't even come close to necessitating a warning or worrying about it.

I think we should just go for total legalization, to hell with this medical bullshit. It's a natural fucking plant that is relatively harmless. Prosecution for and prohibition of a plant is completely absurd.
