Help With DIY Hydroponics System

Im highly considering making my own hydroponics system, I want to make one that'll just hold two plants to be able to grow them as big as possible. Concentrate on just two to have higher yields and all. I just need an idea of where to start, list of materials and simple advice. Im a new to the site and this is my first post so sorry for all the questions I might have :P but all the help possible would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to figure out what type of hydo you want to do and just do it. I would recommend a dwc set up. Air pump a ph meter and some air stones . You will be on your way.

hydro is nice faster time period but no solid base to hold the plant you will be limited on how big it grows also you need to take account for what strain you are going to go with. but the biggest results from hydro come from the flood and drain process google it. and for soil there is something called double potting and i have acheived 9" this way.(thats feet not in)
