Great White Root Nutrients

Greetings and Salutations,

Just picked up "Great White" it's a root nutrient. I paid $33 bucks for a small little jar of it. Has anyone else had success with this? Any experience? I can't find anything on it in the short time I have been researching it. .

I don't think it's a nutrient, I think what you bought is a cocktail of beneficial micro-organisms. Depending on what you're growing in, your plants will still need food.

I'm having good success with GW myself, but a simple garden compost tea works just as well.

There is a difference between beneficial bacteria and mychorizal. The GW I believe is a "wettable powder" form of mychorizal innoculant that is used to inoculate already rooted plants. It works great but if you use tap water it kills it so it really is no use.

Check out "Mykos" Pure Fresh and Alive, they have the highest spore count and world records to back it up. They also make a wettable powder form called "Mykos WP" and a killer nitrogen booster called "Azos."

Yeah it's beneficial micro organisms that promote root growth. I bought a plethora of others, big bloom, big bud, tiger bloom etc. Figured I might as well throw this bad boy in the mix. I'll let you guys know how it works.

Great White is half filler and a waste of money. Yes, the product does work but you can buy the Xtreme Gardening Mykos and actually get more of what you want. Not only does XG's version have a higher spore count, but it also is the spores that you want. GW has endo and ecto mycorrhizae in about equal parts and the ecto are for conifers so are useless when trying to grow marijuana for the most part.

I use it and I have no idea if it actually contributes anything at all. I researched and understand the symbiotic relationship between plant and fungae but I have never had the soil tested from plants I harvested to see if there was a colony established. Since it doesn't effect my bottom line anyway I'm not interested in following up. But I'll still add it at manufacturer's suggested rates.

Great White is "mycorrhizae, beneficial bacteria, trichoderma, and plant vitamins"

So, its more that just Myco's

the bacteria in great white will start to cling to your roots which will help your plants keep an even balance of water to oxygen because the bacteria not only give off oxygen as a byproduct, but also attracts it as well as other beneficial gases that need to get to your roots. basically it protects your roots from "suffocation" so to speak

Great White is overpriced and not near the Product that Extreme Gardening offers and not to mention XG has world records to back it up.

Great white is a mix myco is one strain of mycorizo so it works but only on certain plants read the whole bag great white works across the board and if you grow it in Rez with barley malt an humic fulvic you can get twice the amt...
