i am waiting for my seeds to get here just running tests keeping lights on... the area i have is 5x5x8. if i leave thermometer on the bottom of the empty bucket where my soil will be... it says 90 degrees. i have 2 fans ... do i just need to raise my light high enough until it is around 75?
i dont want my plant getting all tall and lengthy?.... im running 400 W HPS with digi ballast with a hood and 2 fans.... heres a pic and let me know what u think i can improve... soil is gonna be 60% FF Ocean forest and 40% FF light warrior. i am growing low rider green o matic autoflower feminized seeds from bcseedbank.ca....

Air Conditioner some call it AC. or if you cant do that open the window/doors/garage. if thats not possible but some shyt cheap walmart mini ac. if you cant do that. simply have a FAN blowing on them and the lights ALL day and hope for the best.

looks fking ready! no need for that foil on the walls tho, the white paint will do just as good if not better o_O uhm.. .I think you underestimate the power of the plant.. . you better flower ata young / small age to avoid over crowding.. .they can blow up on you!

He's gonna be growing autos, so he won't need to worry about when to flower.

Is that how close the light is when you measure the temps at the tops of the buckets? Because that looks pretty damn close...

exhaust the hot air out and bring some cool air in. A nice inline fan would take care of your heat issues i believe

yeah. they are autflower low rider bro. i would say max height is 23 inches... there is no way to exhaust room. i wish. if it were my own house that i owned i would make one. but for the next 3 months i have this place to work with.... so knowing that i cant make a exhaust system whats your ideas?? also whats ur theory on how high i leave my lights above plants... keep in mind im running 400 watt HPS?

They should be around 12 inches away from the tops of your plants.

Exhausting your room will definitely take care of temps...How about buying a cheap door at a hardware store that you can cut into and run the exhaust from.

yeah thats how close i have it... my fear in putting them too hihg up is just having weak root system and stem.. but like i said this is my first grow... should i bring it up a little? also what would be the MAX temp i would want... keep in mmind im puttin the temp gauge right where the soil will be. not on the wall in the room.. if i were to put the temp gauge on the wall in the room it would be perfect... so i guess my question is when ppl say the room temp should be between 70 and 80 where exactly is the temp gauge?

Right at the tops of the plants is where the gauge should be...And it would be wise to try and keep the temps in that area under 90 degrees F, 95F or higher and they will die.

Prime temp would be around 70F - 73F...You will need to keep the door closed during their dark time, and it'll probably be a pain in the ass to have to close the door when the lights off and to open it when they turn on...And what about when you're out of the house for majority of the day?

i do not ever leave my house for majority of the day. i am self employed and i work out of the house if u catch my drift. i havve all the time in the world.... why would the door need to be closed when the lights are off?

It'd have to be closed to prevent any light leaks...Having light on the plants during lights out will confuse them and cause them to hermie.

And from what I've seen and read 18/6 seems to be the ideal light cycle for auto...But keep in mind I've never grown autos, so take this with a grain of salt.
