Plant is reaching top of grow area during 2nd week flowering...

Hi, as I'm doing a bit of searching i've found that what i should've done was to top the plant as not to have it grow to a height which has now become uncontrolled. I wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what if anything i can do now that my plant is unfortunately growing too tall for my space and about to grow into the ceiling of my boxed in area. Thank you kindly...

take some string and tie the tops down at least 90degrees. they will correct themselves and start growing up towards the light again. kinda like a late started LST

I did what JCashman suggests last year. Even tho it was outdoors, I did it to promote more/bigger buds. It did the trick without stressing the plant

Hi thank you, I hadn't heard of doing that to plants but I'm going to look into it and give it a try. A questions off the bat that I'm wondering if anyone has a chance is how to tie it... I'm guessing bending the stem gently (on my plant there is one top connected to one thick stem) and the string is being tied to another part of the plant, is this correct? Maybe I've misconceived it but my concern is in breaking the stem.

I've heard topping it in later stages in the flowering cycle can cause stress which can negatively affect the plants health. And I haven't yet started to clone or have the right materials for cloning.

On a big mature plant with a good strong main stalk, you can tie to that...I did it with multiple branches (I had topped it early on).

My SSH's all were getting too tall so I bent them over a week and a half into flowering. No signs of stress and now the canopy's are somewhat even in my garden.

just get some damn string and poke a lil hole in your pot and anchor the string to the lil hole..... if you cant anchor to the pot, find something heavy and set it by your plant base and tie to that, or yea, tie it to the main stalk i suppose. i wouldnt tie to the stalk though, but that is just me, remember, once you tie it down and if it cant support its own weight, then take another string and tie it up, kinda liek a balancing act ya feel me ?>

Thanks bud (no pun), I think I'll try it this way, since I was also worried about the balance issue and that would resolve it.

I've also heard of fishing weights. I supposed your stem may be too thick for that though, you'd have to tie a bunch on there. But then you can just leave them hanging i think
