damn this shit looks awesome. How do you do that thing in the tube. How does the tube heat up the weed and have the thc come out? Is the tube hot? If its hot won't it just burn the weed?

the butane comes out cold....it just looks hot/boiling bc its going from liquid--->gas phase
as per the person who asked how hot the pan should be, as you see he has it in a pan of warm water. DO NOT USE BY A DIRECT FLAME/GAS STOVE....use a hot plate if ur guna do this, or even better just boil the water seperately and gently warm ur pyrex of wax, this will allow the butane to evaporate off.

No problem,I think you have to play with the temp, cause if it gets too hot it will turn flakey instead of the wax like texture.

I've made this before with excellent results....get a 2 foot 2" OD piece of pvc pipe with caps for both ends...one cap gets riddled with 1/8th inch holes...the other end gets one single hole in the middle smaller than the tip from the butane canister...put coffee filter on cap of many holes...then fill with ground product...I usually use leaf...don't pack it down it'll settle on its own...put on end cap...no go out to the garage and open a window and a door...place butane tip one single hole end and press it in...the butane will slowly pressurise the tube as it also finds its way out the bottom end cap...I usually run 3 cans thru one pipe load...get the ol' lady to boil the kettle in the kitchen...have her bring the kettle and a bowl bigger than the bowl you use to catch your oil...put in 1/2 bowl of boiling water in larger bowl and place oil bowl in the larger bowl..this will speed up rendering of oil from butane...once it has slowed down and is thick place the oil on a heat source of some kind...I used to use my computer monitor but LCD's took that option away...above the fridge in a cupboard is always a good spot to finalize the cure...I just cap the bowl after its done curing and do pin-hits off my smoke...just remember...you are basically fukking around with a bomb here..keep it ventilated and keep it safe...hth

Very spot on explanation! I wanted to add: before you begin to spray your butane into your tube with the ends on it you may want too
A. Put a coffee filter in the cap end with 3 or 4 holes to strain out the ground up product.
B. Have steeming/boiling hot water in a bowl with a glass plate on top of the bowl. Using a plate makes it easier to scrape your oil up with a
flexi razor blade.
The steeming / boiling water will raise the temp of the plate too just above room temp. Butane boils and evaporates at room temp so the warm plate will
speed the boil off process.
Once all boiling stops you can scrape that plate and drip a drop on top of a nice bowl of ash. Enjoy.
Also watch what kind of pipe you use the butane will dissolve the plastics of some products and make your oil impure and maybe awful tasting.

But can I ask why you heat your oil once it stops boiling? wouldnt that just dry it out and pretty much take it back to keif.
Mine always seems to boil right down to a thick amberish honey strait from the plate.

I boil water and dip my towel in it and place it under the pan absolutely no water in pan. The hotter the better but not to hot butane will explode that why I use boiling water and towels but keep it hot as possible.

mine seems to carry a bit of a butane ordor if I don't finish it with a "low heat cure" if you will...the odor indicates to my miniscule brain( or whats left of it ) that there is still trace amounts of butane present...a few days of low heat cure and it is pretty much gone....just my method...

Guys if done.right there .no keif just trichs nothing else its all about the butane evaporation rate that make the consistency slower/oil fast/waxy/ thicker

Yeah butane is nasty stuff. You can use ether or even oxygen now a days which are both purer. You're just making the oil anyway, to get wax you got to do some more uknown additional steps to create a more potent end product...basically crystalized budder. I've heard instead of whipping it over a hot plate you freeze it first, but i'm not sure, people are very hush with their methods lol. IMO bubble hash FTW.

I've done acohol butane extraction working with an older hippy gent to perfect some steam chamber extracting that used th be popular a while ago word on this guys. Want to loose these chemicals and other crap that come with these types of extractions.
