hey look at the new set up.i switched pots cuz those clay ones were way too big.the root balls on both were so tiny and grew straight to the bottom instead of out. so i fixed it with very minimal stress.
and check it out my brand new pepper seedlings have a bell already.and my giant sunflower is over 10 feet already goped, damn!

Those plants are looking good andrew! Was really nice to able to catch up with james and alottaball last night. They know there stuff for sure and so glad i had got to learn a thing or two!
All i know is I am loving this blue dream! I am debating on maybe trying a DWC inside and doing some compost teeas like dan kone and some of these other members. Seems to be the ticket. So i am debating because i am already running general hydro ponics does it matter if i do both?

a DWC would be cool. youd need a light, air pump, fans, nutes, buckets, net pots, hydroton, etc. if you got that, go for it lol. DO NOT use the same air pump line in the hydro as you do for the compost teas. it will put nasties in your res and possibly cause harm. you can use teas in hydro, but you dont need to worry about that right now. try out one or two DWC buckets and learn first before trying to do experiments with it.
it shouldnt matter if you do both nutes and teas(not 100% on this). the teas arent really for nutrients. they are mostly for putting a big batch of bacteria into your soil, which then break down the ingredients in your soil, turning them into nutrients which your plants can use. right now, there are bacteria in the soil, but more is always better

there are a few lady bugs that fly around and hang out on my sunflowers.they might be watching over the patch for prey.there are tons of flies that are in my garden and they all sleep on the tomato plant leaves at night.i come out to the patch and i see hundreds of flies sleeping.i've picked lots up by their wings cuz they are sleeping lol bastards.are those a pest to plants? my mom says they are harmless but what about their eggs and larvae?

press ctrl+f and type in leaf miners. do your leaves look like leaf miner damage? the trail secretion they leave behind attract flies. neem oil helps

those bastards!they are eating my squash plant, but so far nothing is eating my cannabis plants.i keep them pretty far away from my garden in the back of the yard.my plants are far from there,i hope they don't get any pests.
if i get neem oil i need like 3 bottles of it cuz i have so much leaf i would need to spray.but i keep on the leaves by spraying some stuff that kills insects from sevin.
grasshoppers aren't a problem anymore..hopefully won't be a problem again...
to keep the pests off is it better to use neem oil with water and dish soap mixed or use a hot pepper wax to keep them off. the hydro store said neem is repellent only. i was like no kidding thats why i want it. he said to get the hot pepper wax instead. both are equal in price.

never heard of hot pepper wax. neem oil works by not allowing the baby bugs to go through puberty. therefore they cannot lay eggs. so you spray it on day 1. it soaks into the plant, and for the next few days, any bugs that hatch will eat it. but there r still eggs there, so spray again for the next generation. those eggs will hatch, and eat the neem. a few days later, spray again. now most bugs should be gone, because youve gotten to a point where none of them can lay eggs, and eventually they all die off.
it doesnt kill them directly, but allows u to lower populations. if used as a preventative, spray once a week. any bugs that come around and lay eggs wont really affect it, because those eggs will not be able to mature. plant damage stays pretty minimal this way.
also i hear bugs dont like the smell of neem so they tend to stay away. try to find some ladybugs and release them on your plants. if theres bugs, theyll stick around for the feast. hopefully theyll even lay eggs. their larvae r eating machines as well

ya neem is amazing.i read a lot about it. botanists did an experiment with 2 grasshoppers. they put in a jar with some leaves untreated by neem. that grass hopper ate all the leaf and lived just fine. they put the other in a glass jar with leaves sprayed with neem. the grasshopper didn't even touch the leaves at all. it didn't eat because it knows the neem is bad so it starved. but out in wild they will migrate to other plants and eat those. i dont care cuz i dont want them in my garden. they can eat anything else but not my precious veggies and cannabis.
i read that neem is highly absorbed by insects who barely even come in contact with it. if they brush their leg just barely on a leaf treated with neem their body will absorb it and it goes to work in their bodies stopping hormone production that is how it effects them not being able to molt and sexually mature. so it stops their life cycle dead in its tracks.
its a great product, just wish it was cheaper. i saw 5 gallons for over $300! i nearly shat myself..

check the new pics.the first one is of the fim i did on the sour grapes.it has 4 new growths that should grow into colas. also the super crop on a lower branch is really big and the knot is fat. check it out. the 2 pics after the first is the super crop. the last pic is for rob...its what alota gave me. that diesel stuff i think he said its called. pretty good.

yeah insects dont like the citrus smell of it. damn 300 bucks?! idk if thats a good deal or not because ive only bought the small bottle before. im almost out actually.
the plants look sweet. try to spread out those fimmed branches. tie them down so they point straight out. when they grow a few more inches, tie them again. this will make a shape sort of like helicopter rotor blades. then they will grow up from there.
supercrop looks good. nice knot. now try it on the main stem!
do it kinda towards the top, in a part where the stem isnt soft, but kind of hard. spin and pinch the branch in your fingers back and forth. since its hard, it will take a bit longer and wont get as weak as that lower branch you did. you should feel it weaken a little. just leave it be after that. the next day it should turn purple in that spot. i did this twice on one of my plants, and her stem is rock hard

i am not ready to pinch and destroy the main stem yet! this plant is the biggest and best growing so far out of all the other 8.so i dont want to fuck it up like what happened to the poor skywalker 
..but i did notice a much beefier stem where it super cropped. the stem is way bigger and bushier. so ive seen first hand how it works.i think it works great, just need to not be afraid to damage the stems. but im scared. guess have to get over being scared lol..
i might try it on my biggest purple kush. super crop the main stem. its about a foot tall and really bushy.starting to flower kinda.pre flower so i need to do it soon before its too late...
we really should have started in march or april rob! fuk.,oh well, next year we will grow big plants with decent harvest.
we should spend our time up until then planing it all out so we know exactly what to do and what to expect. and make a list of all the supplies we need. so exciting just thinkin about it. til then we need to get the tents up and producing soon here.

yeah mid march or early april is when you should start them. me and goped have been talkin about making a badass batch of soil and letting it cook for a month beforehand. all we would have to do is feed plain water and do compost teas every few weeks.

nice.ya goped gave me some bags of fox farms soil.its some good stuff.i really like it a lot. im going to do some teas soon. going to brew it with some compost from my gmas compost bin. i was thinking about doing seeds instead of clones next year so they grow big..but clones are guarenteed female unless they hermie..
i might try some auto flower plants..and grow them out until next season cuz those can grow under 12 hours of light no prob outside.

i did a super crop on an alien og at the bottom.
did just fine.
i showed my mom and she was like you idiot you just killed your plant. i was like no its super cropping..lol
first pic is the super crop before, next is after bent, last is it supported by tape.just a piece of duct tape to support the stem while it heels,i didnt wrap the bend in it.

yeah fox farms a good basic soil. id still rather make my own though. to FFOF, i add EWC, dolomite lime, perlite, and stuff called dr earth's #5. works good so far.
what is in your grandmas compost? just curious. remember to add molasses
you could start the seeds in dixie cups, which get transplanted to 2gal containers. from there, let them grow until you can determine the preflowers. transplant all the females into the big pots, and keep the best male. maybe grow the male in a different part of the yard, or in a seperated area. it may pollinate the girls if its in the backyard. maybe put it in a public park somewhere hidden. nobody will really notice it probably. anyways, after a while, u can collect pollen and put it on certain buds. only those buds will have seeds. next season you can use those seeds

ill take some pollen if u save some for me in a jar. i was thinking of planting some plants around town. kinda forgot to do it haha. if i get some seeds from the pollen, ill plant em around for sure
