Any Ferret Owners In Here?

Hey whats up everyone, just thought id see how many other people here own ferrets, and more so LOVE them to death!? I personally think ferrets are some of the greatest pets for stoners. They have tons of personality and they are a blast to play with, and best of all they usually sleep a good 18 hours of the day away, honestly i think one of the best parts of my day is to just come up, lay in the bed, smoke a nice fat bowl, and just sit back n watch my lil guys run and bounce around n tackle each other and wrestle, and play hide n seek n shoot under the covers, then out of nowhere come and "attack" you like they are badasses
Id have to say, if you love animals and make good caregivers to them, ferrets can literally be one of the most enjoyable pets you can ever experience!
If you own them tell us about them! lets see some pics! Heres my two lil guys, their sister passed away a few months ago, was 8yrs old..long time for a ferret to live.

Really? Man that sucks! I wonder why they are illegal? Here in the states they are "snipped" so they cant breed with each other before they ever make it to the pet stores for sale. I don't get my ferrets from stores tho i choose to rescue them from owners who can't take care of them or don't want them anymore.

I had two for a very long time but they have passed away, they were great a blast to play with and have around ! I want to get another pair some day still have my cages and stuff.

Do it man, just look online for rescue shelters and stuff, they are more than happy to help the lil ones find new homes with experienced owners, and plus they would brighten up your day no matter how shitty it got!

Nice, I miss mine. Long dead, had a good life. That little shit was a mean baby. But would come out of hiding when you called her and whistled. Their little laugh thing they do is cool too. I'm working on getting a skunk.

ferrets do have a certain "musk" i personally can't say its a bad smell, but im used to it. Its nothing overpowering or anything, they usually smell bad if someone doesnt change out their cage often then they can start to smell like urine, but i change out my ferrets cage weekly. And they get a monthly bath, they smell fine to me. Id never let their smell discourage you from having one, the muskiness they have isnt strong and they have products that are like waterless shampoos to make their coats smell nicer if was to much for you. But they are way to much fun to let something like that get in the way. They are full of personality and can give u the best laughs at times when u need it

A friend of mine had a skunk as a pet, it was a lil baby in the middle of the highway and he stopped and saved it, he never had the stink gland removed but it never once sprayed him or me, it was alot like a little dog actually but had some ferret kind of qualities as far as being playful and stuff like that

If you have a local pet store around that carries ferrets, go in there one day and just ask to hold one, they will certainly let you, then you can smell them for yourself and see its not that bad

then the owner looks around and pulls out a bag of coke from under the counter lol

my dads buddy had a ferret. he took off his closet doors and put in chicken fencing as a wall. the ferret had a whole closet full of toys and stuff to climb. ever since then ive wanted one soooo bad. theyre cute as fuck and playful. i think theyre illegal to buy here, but you can buy them in another state and bring them here because theyre legal to possess. my dad does truck driving, and i just realized a ferret would be a badass pet for companionship

Im honestly not sure if you can teach them many tricks, they are pretty stubborn and they do what they want when they want, their like f'n cats in that way.
We rescued a small dog a few months ago that someone had just thrown out down our dirt road in the middle of the summer..some people are just assholes..
but the ferrets and that dog play for hours just running around and chasing each other its hilarious, then when they are tired out, they all sleep together.
I'll tell you one thing tho ive learned that pretty much all ferrets like...to tear out the soles in your shoes and hide them..i've owned 8 ferrets over the years, and they all loved shoes..but not new ones..only the ones you like to wear lol

maybe that has to do with the smell of the shoes. they probably smell you on it
