what happens if you leave plants past their due date?

i've had some disapointing results with my auto's, i'll be lucky to get maybe 10g off each. managed to work out where its all gone wrong tho.

was speaking to my friend and he said leave it a few extra weeks to get a bit more bud, thing is if this didn't have negative side effects then sure everybody would leave it to get the maximum yield. what should i expect from buds that aint been harvested in time? i'd rather have a little of a good thing than a lot of sub-standard rubbish

if the buds are loose and fluffy they are not mature or you are not giving them enough light, how long are your light cycles?

if you let them go longer you can expect more buds.

so what actually happens if i leave it? do i lose potency in my weed or can i just leave it to grow more and more and more? need to know what effects i'm playing with by leaving it for longer.

Wait you have some AUTOFLOWERING plants that you felt had to get a 12/12 light cylce? Why not just get some cuttings and flower them as soon as try have a little roots? If its a autoflower there is no need to drop the light (expecialy by that much). You are strving you plants from much needed light. More light in most cases (there are a few well special growers this dosent apply to cuz there retarded ) means bigger buds. Hope that helpz

i've got 3 auto's and 7 photo's in my grow room was gonna veg the photo's while the autos auto'd then go into 12/12 but the wifes mothers coming to stay so the room got put into 12/12 its my first grow so i've not really got multiple lights and areas to put them into

eventually they will die if not put back in veg. but before death the buds will get bigger meaning more yield and buds sort of grow apart from themselves becoming more loose. potency slowly goes down because your thc starts converting into cbds and cbvs. if you look close you can see all your white crystals will turn an amber reddish color.

and autos your supposed to put in your veg room, not flower room.

If left past harvest a few things can/will happen:
1) Your plants will start to hermie, Soma personally does this and it's how he says he produces feminized seeds... not too bad of an outcome I guess.
2) Your trichs will all turn amber, and your bud will have a high cbd and cbv contents, but low thc.
3) If left out for too long, everything will just die, and you'll have nothing.

and autos your supposed to put in your veg room, not flower room.

i only have the one area, should i not have mixed auto's and photo's? what happens as a result of mixing autos and photos and keeping them in one room??
