Am I the only one who would retaliate against the merchandise? Skid marks on that white leather display couch. Maybe a fish strategically hidden under the cushions of several chairs before a long weekend.

so you got nothing, AND your out $400??

no fucking way!

take the $300 you have in your hand, and go talk to a lawyer.
they should give you a refund.

Use there threat against you, against them.
you need to shine a bright light on them, and on what they are doing.
you need to call them out on exactly what they did.

they may have been really subtle about it. but what they did was wrong.

you didnt get what you paid for, and they physically threatened you. "with 40 cousins and your address"
just the fact that they said "we know where you live" would stand out BIG TIME in court. they cant win that.

at the very least fight the transaction on your card, so u can add the other $250 to the $300 you got back.

3 words Bro.... Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/

Look the store up by going to this link. See if they have any prior complaints. I doubt you are the first this has happened to.
https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/NewComplaint.aspx?ComplaintTypeID=2&countryid=1

I personally would go and talk to the owner. Calmly explain that you feel as though you have been unjustly treated and would like to give him/her one last chance to refund or replace prior to your filing a formal complaint with the better business bureau.

I would also call your credit card company ASAP. Explain what happened and tell them to stop all payment.

Good luck, they suck, keep us posted eh?
BBB is a good way to go. Take the chair back, get it back to them some how and demand full refund.

Document everything, then file a complaint with the BBB. I worked for some very unscrupulous people in the computer business and we paid off every time the BBB ruled against us.

It's time consuming and you will be out your money until it settles. It also helps if you get the right chair somewhere else (mitigating damages).

I don't want to fight it because I am a very high stress person and the time and procedures and outcome will all drive me crazy- If I start fucking with them it will take up my time and happyness I would rather move on.

Yeah I was cool with it I just thought it would be like a heavy leather jacket type of material and not shiny plastic thats all slippery and plastic and shit. I wanted to be able to pass out drunk on it, now i'm drinking on the floor in front of my T.V. watching swamp loggers and my legs go numb and it hurts and I have to try to streatch it out so I can walk, it sucks.
