Hello all, I just joined this forum last night while browsing through looking at other plants. I just started my first plants ever plants about 18 days ago from just bag seed and this is what I have now. I think the discolorations from the bottom leaves were because when I started the plants off I might have had the lights too close. Anyway, I use 2 100w CFL's with just a plain shop light reflector and a small oscillating tower fan. I'm growing in my closet at the moment and my roommate actually has 2 plants of his own growing in his closet, same set up. So the first 3 pictures are of my healthiest looking plant and the last picture is of the one that looked like I burnt it a bit. If anybody has any input on these let me know! thanks!!:blsmoke:

Yes Sir, I don't check ph either. All I did was buy a few gallons of distilled water from walmart and I use that with some organic garden soil. I'm actually about to transplant the bigger plant today but the soil is still wet since it defrosted like a week ago and I'm not sure if that will effect my plant at all like by drowning the roots or something? Not too sure but I have been waiting for the soil to dry out.

just regular vinegar is fine.

Its kinda sensitive though. My ph coming out of my faucet is 8.4. It takes 1.8 ml of vinegar to bring my ph down of 1L of water to about 6.2.

You will have to do your own testing to see what amounts you will need to lower your ph.

Ya that's what I expected. I also bought some 12-8-10 n-ph-ka plant food mix. I started watering the plants with it when they were seedlings and I just recently stopped the other day because I'm getting nervous of other posts on here. Should I keep watering with that mix or just use the PH adjusted water?

I would hold off on the nutes till the seedlings are a little more stable.

Maybe wait until the plants are 3-4 weeks old.

OK so another question. I've been using miracle grow organic garden soil and my plants are about 4 inches tall. Should I change the soil when I transplant to something better or will this specific soil be fine to finish these plants off with? Not too sure if it will confuse the plant if I change the soil or what.

Ok, here are pictures of my healthy plant today and it appears as though the top leaves are starting to point downwards. Now I gave it a little water yesterday morning and I'm transplanting it today but I'm not sure why the leaves are starting to point downwards... any advice?
