can anyone with led experience tell me what size led would i need to match a 400w Hps would like to do 4 over a 4x4 table thanks in advance
to match a 400 w hps i would use a 600w model but i dunno about 4 over a 4x4 space that might be stretching it also it depends what kinda quality model you get you might be able to match watt for watt but it will cost ya for sure. ive got a 120w over a 2x1 area with 3 plants but one is 12/12 from seed so its smaller.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KFxiHECmis

I have never seen this mentioned anywhere but do any of you LED users experience this:

When working in my grow tent it's bright red-pink but in as little as 40-60 seconds I stop seeing any type of red-pink tint and instead see just white light, then when looking around the room everything is tinted yellowish for like a minute and when looking at this red pillow chair the wife has it appears orange...almost as if I temporarily can't see red? Even if this doesn't happen to you, do you know what the phenomenon is called thats happening? Pretty trippy and this happens with or without using sunglasses (tried 2 different pairs).

I have found that wearing a pair of polarized sun glasses helps with what your describing.

that looks sketchy bro i dunno about that homemade lookin shit and sub par info on the lights in general i cant say for sure but i would never buy from that site
I emailed them today and they already responded. Here's the email
hese lights are manufactured for us in Asia. (Not standard mass produced units. You can get those directly from BS Leds in China, they will sell to anyone. They manufacture most of the LED grow lights sold here). WhiteLine lights are produced according to our specifications exclusively for us.

We use Edison LEDS from Tiawan, they have proven to be very good in terms of reliability, output and price, much better than the typical Chinese LEDS used in most units.

The drivers are waterproof and are warranted for 3 years. Again, an upgrade over typical units sold in the US. The manufacturer may vary depending on the production run, but all are backed for 3 years.

I have yet to have a WhiteLine light fail. The combination of good LEDS, quality drivers and lack of any moving parts makes them extremely reliable.

The spectrum of our lights is on our website:

This has proven to me over the past 8 years to be the best spectrum for all-around indoor growing.

The exact diodes used are proprietary, these have been chosen based on our independent research. Many other LED plant lights use diode combinations that were based on incomplete (or non-existent) research and erroneous assumptions. The LEDS are wide angle, this provides most even growth over the area. Earlier LED lights were narrow angle (30-45 degrees), primarily because the output was relatively low and a narrow angle was the only way to get reasonable results. LED output has since increased by about 50x, we find a wide angle LED with reflective surfaces around the grow area produces the most prolific and consistent growth. These lights can be placed literally right on top of the plants with virtually zero clearance.

Pictures will follow on the web site in the coming weeks, my grow room has been temporarily converted to a warehouse. I can assure you there have been no complaints regarding the performance of our lights, we have been using this line for a couple of years for ourselves and only recently have been selling them to the public. Our experience and all of my feedback from customers indicates 2 of our lights replaces 1000 watts of HID.

Thanks for your interest in our lights.

They've been around for 2 years and that's how good their site is? I dunno man. Ask him for a test unit. Tell him you're active on here and we wanna see what it can do. I couldn't drop that kinda $$ on a product that the only endorsement I'm getting is from the CEO, I mean go figure he supports them

I wouldn't purchase those. Not enough concrete information on the website or in the email you got from the ceo dude. For the price they're asking, you'd be better off going with a proven, reliable company instead.

I have several times.... search alibaba on google its a company that distributes TONS of brands of leds from different manufacturers in CHINA/Japan... You can type LED grow light in the search and you will find TONS of dealers.... some will let you buy a single unit and will cost you alot less than buying them here..

I believe you for the most part, I know some US companies will spec out the led's in their own configuration overseas and then simply slap a sticker on the panel. But some simply just order stock units like you see on alibaba and just slap a sticker on. But yeah you can order samples for real cheap so maybe one day I'll try one out. Seems like there is a whole lot of shit you have to swim through to find decent panels on there, There's like a billion... :P

you are buying it directly from the manufacturer, just like most dealers here in USA
I was initially being facetious, I have spoken to many manufacturers in China, for myself and because I wanted to import my own specced units to sell in the UK on our website. It is a little known fact that many panels are actually assembled in India as well. The problem I had with the numerous manufacturers in China was that there assembly process is frankly amateur, they ignore batching on diodes and often replace chipsets with inferior components. They also add a tax that they insist is compliant on your shipping bill and then youstill need to pay an import tax on top of that when it hits UK shores. No thank you.

Edit: Some of these dealing originated through Alibaba.

I currently have a 600w, looks EXACTLY like the blackstar, on its way. Sames specs and everything. I payed $350.00 final cost. This took talking the rep down, but I insisted if I was going to buy more in bulk :) . The arrangement of the leds is exactly the same, they are all 3w... no they are not 3 1w's all crowded together... Ill take some pics when I get it.
