i was thinking of putting like a foot or 2 of soil in one of these in like april/may. then planting a bunch of clones in there. let em veg for like a month, then start shutting the lid to induce flowering. you would be getting intense july sun during flowering time. i think the nugs would be dank if done right. idk about drainage though

Now you guy's now the kind crazy of sh*t that is constantly going thru my head!:-?

Now back to the subject:

You could use a dumpster year around in socal!
Paint it white (inside & out)
Put 18" of soil & 2dozen clones
Cover with plastic (like a terrarium)
Start to close the lids for 12hr once the plants are 12" tall
Harvest a dumpster full of ripe buds every 90 days
All the whole time it just looks like a dumpster!bongsmilie

id love to have that in my backyard haha. what do u mean by cover it with plastic? like right under the lid theres a sheet of plastic? wouldnt humidity be a problem?
also u may not need to close it for a whole 12 hours. just until it gets dark :-P

edit: thatd be cool to have a car jack or something on either side. so everyday u can tilt it towards the morning sun, then the other way towards the evening sun. not as much indirect sunlight that way

You may have to play with the ventilation. Opening's in the plastic or none at all.

How about a set of camper jacks. I've seen them on craiglist.

But, actually if you painted it white inside & faced it south, I think you'ed be fine

automatic hydraulic jacks would be ideal. i wouldnt like pumping jacks twice a day lol

A way to encourage beneficial insects is to spray a mixture called "Wheast" in your garden. It is usually a mixture of yeast, whey or sugar, and water and it is an attractive food for Ladybugs and Green Lacewings. You can either make your own, or purchase a mix. A basic wheast recipe is as follows:

1 part sugar
1 part yeast

Mix sugar and yeast with water to make a thin paste. Apply to leaves. Or, add more water to apply by spray bottle.

oh my god! i want that 40 yard dumpster lol. 22' long, 8' wide, and 7.5' high! u could grow a ton of fat nugs in that

edit: actually according to that site, u could grow 10 tons ;-)
