Share your Main Cola Tips with me please!

Hey all I am doing an auto grow @ https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/449198-auto-grow-start.html but I need some expert help. I have seen people with these huge colas from an auto and I want to know how, I dont really care about overall amount just fancy growing a big a cola as I can, ill grow a tree after to keep me going lol all advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think that there is much to it because you're not supposed to top auto's as they don't have a long enough life span to recover. So I'm pretty sure the big cola's you see are simply the way the plant grows.

If you want to maximize your colas I would advise removing some of the lower growth when the plant starts to flower. The lower stuff usually doesn't get enough sun to grow as well and cutting off the lower growth will free up more energy that the plant can use to pump up the cola. That with the proper nutes and you should be good to go.

big colas = lighting and proper feeding care and ventilation get your room dialed in lights as low as possible in the stretch phase of flowering and you should have good results feed everytime it needs a watering

Ok ill trim off some of those lower useless flowering branch sites, and Ill drop my light's to an inch, my bulb is heatless so Ill do that, Thanks guys wish me luck! =)

Sorry, didn't realize you were indoors, there is def more to it then as DrFever said.

If your plant were like 2 1/2 to 3' tall, I myself would cut anything growing on the first 6 or so inches because I'd rather have extra cola weight than some scraggely small buds from the bottom. If you have some small side branches popping out mid way up the plant I would LST the plant so that those side branches could get more light. But you see, even with LST the very lowest growth of the plant still won't get too much light and in my mind will just take energy away from those lovely colas we all want.

Best of luck to ya! And way to to grow! Too many people here hate on autos, which is ok, to each there own. But if everyone adopts this group mentality and stops ordering autos then autos will never progress. So thanks for helping in the progression!

Ok so ive taken some of them off, and ill LST them, I have always gone photoperiod but I wanted to experiment, and autos, they just boggle my mind those little plants with the pineapple size colas lol looks fun, im letting my fiance play with one as she thinks if she ties it all in a big bunch and just pushes the sites through so they keep thier leaves and exposes the bud it looks like a bush lol, well if it keeps her happy eh? Its great she loves growing but doesnt smoke it....result! thankyou for all your help +rep to the max m8!

you can try lsting and or super cropping one plant i have supercropped and yes there was more buds not nesecarily more yield and or bigger colas you got to keep in mind when doin lsting and or supercropping your changing the plants hormones its all strain dependent but when i experimented i found i lost yield buds were smaller when i did this rather then leaveing it alone and naturally growing its course from my experience i will only supercrop a mother plant not a plant goin into flower i just completed a 1435 dry gram grow 12 plants ppp under 1000 watt on a motorized track , lights were 7" above tops but to each there own heres pics of none touched afgan and buds were even huge on bottom

well I think your pics speak for themselves, ive cut the bottom branches off already so its too late =( to leave it alone but ill skip the lst and supercropping, you know sometimes I forget its a plant and doesnt actually need much of my help lol

your absolutly right sometimes just let plants grow keep temps in check lights low as possible and fresh air coming in and feed feed feed not goin to crazy and let plants do its thing like it has for millions of years

could you imagine in mexico someone lsting there 5000 plants lol i couldnt and yet there still bringing in 50 tons of pot a week into cali

Lol I can't even imagine 5000 plants, Id imagine its called heaven. But lsting 5000 plants youd need a small army of workers, Might move to cali bet its cheap as chips there!
