was wondering if anyone has done ths before.. im gonna put a Solar powerd (LED) spot light on my outdoor (in the ground) Kush berry. Im gonna attempt to keep it in veg. i was looking around and the lights are cheap around $25. check it out will this be enough power?

Is the sun going to be hittin the plants in the day and this thing in the night? It's not good to mix artificial lighting and natural lighting at the same time.

it should keep them in veg but wont produce anything(growth), that all comes from the sun. Make sure they kick in just before sundown ,not a hour later for eg, as i agree then it could hermie. But to trick it that the day is longer will work. Dont forget it will be all lit up at night, more chance of someone seing it.

convincing... little do you know i grew a plant out side my house near my front door security light. and it vegged for about 5 months until it was a 5X5 fucking bush... and my question wasn't is it possible with a artificial light. i was asking is it enough power, or do i need two. bongsmilie

BUDS thanks for the educated answer. im thinking about a tree grow possible so no one can spot it, or maybe a red light so its more stealth. this is a gorilla grow by the way...

im gonna go with one for now and add more with the growth of the plant. red light is hard to detect, im gonna try to find a red filter for the light.

a street loight, porch light,spot light. any light, put on at the end of sunshine hours will keep a plant into veg for however long you want it to, or the weather will allow. The 1 light should be plenty for what you want, it doesn't take alot of light (lumens)to keep em' in veg, but like the other guy said, it's not gonna make it grow, but it doesn't sound like your after that, just to keep it vegging, and that will work.
I know alot of growers around my area that use lights in their gardens at night to make sure nothing flowers till they want them to. Good luck!

Id say get four, I just dought one of those is gonna have a ton of output or security lights might be cheaper

Thanks bradda GDP. yeah Prefontaine think im gonna go with some water-proof cfls... I really just want to keep questioning the possibilities of growing and try new innovative ideas. i encourage anyone else to do the same. i like your quote by Thomas Jefferson. im sure Thomas had a similar way of thinking.

Yea I've seen plenty of ppl use lights at night they do I manually like every 45 min run a line of cfls down their grow like every 2 or 3 hrs just to disrupt the plants darkness to keep em in veg... But it's a good idea just remember them fuckers in the sky are always around but that's my opinion... I'd also be worried bout animals coming up and rooting up the plants I've got a prob with hogs to armadillos and deer... They will be curious about the light... But it's your grow these are just our opinions... Good luck man

I do it ALL THE TIME!!! I have ploants that I pit in the room for 6 hours a day, and they go outside for 6 hours a day, and it works fantasically!! I get the best of both worlds thiat way.
This is a great idea IMO, I think I might get a couple for next year to keep my plants from flowering when I put them out a little early. Great idea buddy!!
