When to add UVB/UVA lights?

How tall is it? pics can be deceiving. how many times did you top it? I know a nice plant when I see it...it remind me of mine. how long have you been vegging?

Mine is outdoor and is 6 feet all and 4 feet wide, toped and highly developed like that. but with nice sturdy branches

and as far as this thread is concerned... Id on't believe in adding on anything artificial to outdoor grows... except maybe high quality supplemental nitrogen ..... keep it green (both literally and figuratively . . . )

OP I use 2 26 watt 10.0 uvb bulbs along with a 400 cmh and subject them to the uvb from sprout to harvest everytime the lights are on...seems to work swimmingly...hope it helps

I still got the bigger stick....that's a nice plant. Mines still got 9 days of vegging outdoor then it's guna flower. My shit going to be waaaaay biggerrr and waaaay nicer.
That shit looks like everybody elses bud...try to be a little original when you grow a crop/plant. Again..this is an OUTDOOR forum..and u still lose.

Anybody can grow a field of plants...but i'm talkin bout quality of the plant....post ur best plant you got growin right now

I successfully stopped the lower fan leaves from falling off with a couple extra high doses of grow big. Only 6 leafs fell off and I believe it was due to them not getting enough light cus my plant is so big.

Handling multiple strains is a cake walk... you jus have to dedicated to what your doing and pay attention to what each like. I'm not guna bash you plants and say they look like shit..cus theyr not bad (fairly decent). but in terms of whose is better...you stems and branches are lookin a LIL weak and skinny as well as your nodes are a big spaced apart.

In Ed Rosenthal's book he suggests using more UVB at the last two weeks. Also MH produces about 15% UVB compared to HPS which produces about 13% UVB. So it's better to switch to MH in those final weeks to boost THC and terpene production not trich production.
Im not sure about the added 100W of special lighting. If you mean more UVB then yes to that.
I also read where LED lights are more efficient PAR producers. Meaning they emit more at the blue end and more at the red end than similar wattages of HID lights. "By tailoring the diodes' light spectrum to plant requirements, LED's can be more efficient PAR producers. HPS lamps deliver more total light per watt of input, but LED's are twice as efficient in PAR light per watt as HPS lamps.
This means a 200W LED can be substituted for a 400W HPS lamp and a 300W LED can be substituted for a 600W HPS lamp"

Back on my original topic... I just ordered three 26w uvb 10.0 bulbs and will get them up 4 weeks into flower... we'll see what happens I guess... unfortunately I don't have the option to have a control (one with uvb and one without) but like someone said it couldn't hurt...

wow i wasnt gonna post in this thread, but because jack47 was such a dick i figured ill try bring the IQ of this thread up...


I dont believe is that whole only the last two weeks BS. think about it, your using uvb lights to increase trichrome production. so you believe that trics are the plants natural response to protect itself from uvb rays.
well if i was doing that shit id want them on through out its whole flower period, maybe not the first two weeks of 12/12 cos thats a transition period, and maybe not the next two because they are adapting to alot but after that id run it, not if you wanna not run it for the full 12 hours, you could run it for 4 hours at midday, so 4 hours of lights on uvb light off, 4 hours of lights on uvb light on, 4 hours of lights on uvb light off.

about the 10% spectral lighting, i havent a clue where the scientific data backs up that claim, id but them all in.

uvb is harmful that we do know, so dont enter your room with your uvb light on, put it on a switch you can turn on/off yourself, or avoid your grow room while its on.
