thanks for the replies, that's now straightened out. another question, as far as possessing 2.5oz of prepared marijuana, my interpretation is that you can have more than that altogether if the rest is unmanicured...any takers on that one?

I see the amendment now includes dry leaves...so I guess that wouldn't fly.

You can donate (key word) as much bud/leaf material to a dispensary as you desire. You cannot receive compensation of any kind for said donation (not even gas money for driving to the dispensary). The dispensary is supposed to use such donations to provide meds to people who cannot afford to buy at the dispensaries price, but there are no requirements that said dispensary actually provide your donation to low-income patients at no cost. Personally, i would seek out such a patient myself and donate directly to him, which is also allowed by law, so long as the donation is kept to under 2.5 oz at a time.

will the numbers of plants you designate to a caregiver/dispensary affect the amount you can receive every 15 days, or something of that nature? as in, can you designate only 1 plant to a dispensary and still receive 2.5oz's every 15 days?

No. Designating either a caregiver or dispensary confers your ability to grow six plants to the designee. It's an all or nothing thing.
Under the new law you can designate from 1 to 6 to a caregiver and grow the remainder yourself.....

As someone who is looking at becoming a caregiver - i would be very hesitant, due to legal limit concerns, to take on a patient who only wanted to allocate a portion of his plants to me.

Good point, I guess. If it's prorated with each provider (caregiver or dispensary, plus self) allowed to inventory an amount relative to the allotted plants it could get messy. If on the other hand each provider can inventory 2.5 oz simply because they are a designated provider then it's a loophole that allows more than the law intended.
As I said in another post, enforcement of the law in general should be interesting.
you guys need to remember that a plant was redefined....4-B. Mature marijuana plant. "Mature marijuana plant" means a harvestable female marijuana plant that is flowering and is greater than 12 inches in height and 12 inches in diameter.
so a plant doesn't count till its harvestable...so for example one could have a room full of plants at 6 weeks flowering and yet not have one plant by this new definition.....

I wasn't thinking so much about number of plants. Six harvestable should be sufficient for anyone who knows how to grow. I was thinking more about inventory amounts, etc. For example if you have a hydro grow and have to harvest all six at once. You're gonna have more than 2.5 oz.

The key is to stager your budding. One plant this week, one next, one next, and so on, Or 2 at a time depending on how much your plants yeald. The new law also says 2 1/2 oz cured and ready but says you may have more aslong as its at different stages of curing.

Yeah sure I know about staggered planting. I did it for a long time. I have a different setup now and don't need to, but not everyone has the space or investment to have multiple rooms. Many will have one room, or one or two lights even. Or maybe a hydro setup (not dwc). So they can't really have different light schedules, the whole crop is the same age.
