looks like heat stress-

26 for now. has it been hotter?

hydrochloric acid is fine. most down at the shop is phosphoric acid. battery acid is sulfuric acid. do this, 1 gallon distilled water, remove two cups water, replace with i cup battery acid(buy at any auto parts supply). the resulting solution is the same strength as ph down from the shop.

up i smade using lye. same gallon of distilled, add 3 TABLEspoons lye. same as ph down. add blue or orange food coloring at will.

for a bit of learning, seek out riddleme. read his threads. USE make it rain. it will teach you to water, feed, and read your plants for problems. afyer making iit rain for awwhile you will learn your plants and growing will be easy.

mate my temps are abit higher than 26 temps are hovering between 28-32 Degreese celcius, Yeah a good friend/ex grower told me a good way of getting the ph down is with hydrochloric acid, Tried making up a feed for the girls last night using Fish tank ph up and down and ended up using to much ph down so i had to use abit of ph up to bring back to 6.5, checked the EC afterwards and was 1.6 with no nutes?...mixed up another feed with the hydrochloric acid and ec came out at 0.2 and a ph of 6.5

I would deffo keep the lights on a straight 18/6
And don't sray them any more if ur under hps
As the heat from the lamps will cook the plants
The dirt I can't really help u on that I'm hydro
And I never knew that u were in dirt
Ur ph needs 2 b 6.0 in coco I think mate

hi thanks mate really appreciate your input and help , yep got my lights on 18/6 and i got them set to turn off during the hottest part of the day here, (11am - 5pm), yeah i stopped spraying em around 2 weeks ago as i noticed small burn spots from the previous sprays, yeah mate i think in dirt/coco im looking for a ph range between 6 and no higher than 7, tested my runoff lastnight of both plants.....ph was a little low 5.8 to be exact for both plants, tested the ec/ppm and came at about 1.2, i could have a salt buildup in the soil? not to sure i doubt it but as the plant thats got all the rough growth has had 3 flushs now

really cant figure out all this rough leaf growth but will take a couple more photos soon, some of the new growth uptop is starting to twist and getting small brown spots here and there

Hey all, First time grow here so im not 100% sure whats going on, Have a strain growing Afghan kush, First 2 weeks went fine then i started nuting her, seemed to do ok for a while but now she looks real rough, After having a good read on the TMV thread on here i thought i would start my own and get some second opinions on what could be going on,

my plant is showing some strong signs of tmv however im not sure, i've posted up a heap of photos, she's had 2 flushs now and the burning spots/ rough new leaf growth doesnt seem to be stopping,

first 2 weeks of growing i was flying blind with ph and ppm, but i ended up investing in a digital ph pen and a bluelab truncheon meter, for the last 3 weeks i say the ph has between 5.8 6.5 and a ec of no higher than 1.6

nutes i was using is 'Green dream' 'Nutriboost Concentrate' (cheap ripoff of rhizotonic apprently) and "Cannazym" plant seemed to like the first week of nutes but is now looking like the pictures i have below, If you have any queries just let me know,

I don't think they look that bad now mate lol
Stems r still purple tho so something still not quite right
But over all not 2 bad at all
What was the ec of the feed ?
But I wouldnt b worried @ 1.2
I just use tap water in my hydro n ph it down
I know a lot of people don't recommend it
And say u must only ro water
There might b some benefit 2 it
But I've never had 2 use it
And it's never hurt my plants
I said add more water 2 raise the ph
So ur not putting unnecessary chemicals

Also only water when the dirt is dry
They look like all the flushing
May have overwatered them abit
Lift the pot when it's wet and feel the weight
Then let it dry 4 a day or 2 then feel the weight
U should b able 2 feel the diffence
Then use this as a indicator as 2 when u need 2 water
I think ur supposed 2 feed twice a week in coco
But 2 b honest mate im not sure
Some1 on here will know and I'm sure correct me if I'm wrong lol

hey mate cheers for the tips, sorry i havent been on in a while been really busy, anyway been nearly 2 weeks now and ive got some pics and updates, some of the lower leaf growth is burning up and looks like nute burn?. anyway i've backed right off the nutes now and well see how she go's...having a closer look at the plants i noticed on both plants there are little chunks missing out of the leaves? like something is eating them.... i've posted pics on the eaten leaves could be gnats? not 100% sure

Yep unless you damaged the leaves moving them or somehow i would say you got bugs in there somewhere, looks like cal/mag or ph problems but i would look at the cal/mag first imo. Bottom leaves do not burn from too much ferts but can from cal/mag deficiency. Good luck
