About to switch light schedule for flowering...

Should I have a dark period 24-48 hours between changing the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12. I read in a couple journals that some guys are doing this, instead of going straight from 18/6 to 12/12. What does everyone think is the way to go?

My plant is at 5.5 weeks of veg and I'm planning on switching the lights to 12/12 in about 1.5 to 2 weeks.

I have always given 48 hours darkness, but just remember to load up on food before hand because the plant will grow like 6 inches in that dark period.. Sounds like im talking out my ass "growing in the dark" but that is what happens

I've never waited when switching over to flowering, just expect the plants to grow 200% when putting them into flowering because they use all their stored energy to bloom. I think either way you'll be OK and won't notice much difference in the end.

Would you recommend watering them with nutes really good one last time before the 48?

Yea I've heard that they double to triple in size when you flower them. I'm doing some LST on it and just put up a SCROG net as well. I'm trying to keep it as low as possible before it flowers. I have a 4 foot tall tent so I don't have a ton of room.

I would def water before hand and the only difference I have ever seen is that they seem to show flowers a tad quicker, I guess I just do it because ive been giving em that for so long i just got into a routine of doing it.. Either way is just fine
