Hopes and dream my friend! And you are incorrect. If you look closely you'll see I post on that forum and in that particular thread. In post #443 he posts this:
Pineapple Express:
Grown under Blackstar - 34.4 grams
Grown under GLH 240W - 49.7 grams
StarTrek:
Grown under Blackstar - 15.6 grams
Grown under GLH - 24.1 grams
And in post #433 you'll see his light meter test. The Blackstar isn't even close
No you are wrong and I am correct, I said that the BlackStar had a bigger gram per watt ratio.... Lets do the math:
His Blackstar yielded 50 grams & his Spectra yielded 74 grams.... The grower tested both panel's watts with pic of a meter: The blackstar runs at 133 watts & the Spectra runs at 245 watts, now just divide the grams into the watts which gives you:
Blackstar @ 133 actual watts = .37 grams per watt
Spectra 240 @ 245 actual watts = .30 grams per watt
Now feel free to prove me wrong, Blackstar has a higher gram per watt ratio and this is why using multiple panels will shine! And lets not forget that the Spectra is running double the fans making it even less efficient. Now this was a shity grow in my opinion for both panels but it was a controlled grow experiment with both panels growing the same strains under the same environment. This proves just how overrated expensive panels can be when if you use multiple Blackstars you may end up surpassing at less watts and less investment.
Let me also add that it is easy to assume if that grower had 2 - Blackstar 240w panels to better even the watts of each grow the Blackstars would have had more coverage and many grams more... again this is how they work well is in pairs or groups, their efficiency is proven above.
