What do you think is causing the nitrogen overload?
My soil is a mix of plain black dirt, cactus soil, and some sand.
I only have used Big Bloom. Nothing else.
Not the bigbloom

Cactus soil is for cactus. Hopefully on your next cycle, you'll be using RUI tested soil mixtures like FF Ocean Forest/LW, Roots, FF Happy Frog/Light Warrior etc for your soil medium. What do you think is causing the nitrogen overload?

HPS/MH will be arriving in August. I will be using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil for the next grow, Metal Halide for vegging, High Pressure Sodium for flowering as well as a few well placed CFL's, and only minimal organic nutrients. This will be a good setup, correct?for starters i would get rid of the CFL and get a strongly vented HPS.
"Could some of these problems have been cause by the inappropriate lighting(Not enough distribution over the entire plant/not powerful enough to absorb the nutrients)?"
think you answered your own question. good luck bro!
thats my set-up...well was before i started the 12/12 thing, but stick with the above mentioned plan, and you will be prepped for successHPS/MH will be arriving in August. This first grow has turned out to be a disaster thanks to my stupidity, and is very discouraging to say the least. I DO NOT want to repeat these events.
