Well the past 2 days have been a nice paranoia trip. Having to kill my male, break down the tubs, hide the tubs, and hope it went unnoticed. I think I will definitely be investing in some type of cabinet to house everything in, in the near future. That being said, this is her last night being in half a tub and growing under one CFL, so far she doesn't seem to mind so much.

After a busy weekend, I'm back to update this grow. She's still growing pretty well and actually starting to put out a light odor which is kind of interesting this early. She's back in both tubs receiving full lighting again and seeming to love it.

Im working with this very strain, and with SAS (super auto sativa). Iam gonna watch this with interest as your about 2 weeks in front of me. Its seems the purple ryder is only available as reg and I might have a bash at making some feminised seed for in the future, or at the very least save some pollen for reg seeds. Is it important to dry the pollen first before storing it in the fridge? I'm thinking of using the light stress method for feminising does anyone have experience of this, and could you recommend the best schedule to use to stress them correctly?

I'm definitely wanting to try a sativa auto next after this grow. I'm thinking that the SAS is the one I was looking at last to try this. So far that I know yeah, the Purple Ryder is only comes as regular seeds. As far as I know once you have pollen to just store it in the freezer to extend it's life. I've never heard of light stressing so I can't really offer any advice on such.

I really hope both of our crops turn purple, but its likely there will be more than one pheno, im not too worried though particularly with this having mazar in the genetics. I feel for you on the paranoia trip my man, I recently pulled a load of auto mazar and amnesia haze due to things getting a bit on top. It seems the highest price of this game is the worry associated with it. Over here in the uk (and no doubt elsewhere) they sell sativex (medicinal tincture of cannabis) yet still wont allow home cultivation for medicinal purposes its such a complete contradiction.

After checking her today I think I may have come across some more bad news. She may be yet another male. 2 little bulbs have formed at the base at the first node. I guess I will know tomorrow or the day after if they are in fact balls or if hairs will pop out of them. I was hoping I wouldn't have to order more seeds, but I guess I might be looking at having to purchase more :/ Craptastic.

I was hoping to avoid ordering a crap load of seeds just so I could get one damn female out of it. I really wanted a Purple Ryder, but I was planning on getting Shortstuff's Super Auto to try out a sativa auto, plus it's already fem. Bit torn on choices at the moment, but thanks.

So just to update the few of those still reading, it was indeed a male and was killed off. I just grabbed a gift card, and got some more Purple Ryder's and Shortstuff's Super Cali Haze. So, round 3 will begin in about a week. This isn't over yet!

Hey man, you should give it a shot with some soil a little more gentle this time. FFOF tends to cause a bit more of a male ratio for me. But im still tuned in for the ride myself. Get ready for a loooong wait with that SCH..lol! It takes like 3-4.5 months to be finished, thats the only thing that detered me. Can almost grow a regular photo in that time frame.
