switching to 12 12 from 18 6, wanted to change it so its not on during the day so that people dont suspect shit, but is it okay if i leave it off 18 hours so I can fix the schedule

tl;dr: ok to get 18 hours of dark when changing to 12 12

will it stress it hard or hermie it? dont want a hermie

Alright, decided to leave in dark for 24 hours, better than fucking everything up.

Just is it okay if they were under the less bright cfls for 10 minutes? I heard other lights can fuck them up.

It's fine to give more dark to adjust a light schedual just not more light during flowering.
