yah, they are the 21 window micro buses, also called combi's i think.. i love the ones with the safari front pop out windows and all.. very sweet..

you're going to be as pissed as i am over this one.. this kid i went to hs with whom i'm also friends with on fb just bought a 65 vw bus i think it is.. it needs a lot of work atm, but the guy he bought it from has already done a ton of work to it like replacing a lot of metal as well as putting dropped spindles on it and all.. the thing has the perfect stance to it already.. it can be a very nice ride when my friend gets done with it if he puts in the time and money..
he just sold his porsche 914 for like 10k and spent some of the money on his next project, the bus.. he bought the 914 and it was in ok shape, but he put in a ton of work with it and made it very nice indeed.. i'll go and try and find some pix of both the 914 and his new bus project..

yah, i have this foreign car repair shop near me that i used to take my vw to once in awhile, and he's always got some nice old vw's in the parking lot.. a few weeks ago, he had a 50 something oval window there, and now he's got one of these buses sitting there as well.. it has a lil rust on it, but i still like it a lot.. i think i'd rather have a 21 window combi, but these are nice when all slammed like this one is..
and don't worry, i'm pretty much the same way you are and just love cars in general.. don't really matter if it's a this or a that, if it's nicely done, i like it, lol..
i really feel that the automobile is like art on wheels.. it kills me when people have nice rides and never drive them.. what's the point of owning a car if you're not going to drive it, or not drive it the way it was meant to be driven... kinda like when i see a soccer mom driving say an m6 or a 997 or something along those lines and you know that that car is never going to go much over 55 in it's life time..

this is another fave of mine.. i love to hear it screaming around the track, and of course i'm a huge shummy fan, so that doesn't hurt very much either.. only thing i can think of that would make it sound sweeter would to hear it going through a tunnel or two ..:)

that was my dream car when i was like 10 or so, not to say i still don't love them, just changed my tastes some now that i'm a bit older.. but yah, the shoe box era belairs were really nice for sure..
