I decided against trimming anything. She's doing quite well for an auto. From my research, I've found that leaves are like solar panels. As an auto, she's small and needs all the fan leaves she can get. At the very most, I can tie some of the fan leaves out of the way from the bud sites. Other than that, it doesn't make sense for me to trim.
She's up to 8in tall, thick stem, sturdy branches, healthy looking bud sites. On a 9/15 light cycle. Again, I am slowly working my way to a 12/12 cycle and plan to be there by week's end. Day temps/climate are in the pics, both F and C temps included.
Watered her yesterday and gave her about 17 fl oz. of distilled water with 3/4 tsp of tiger bloom mixed in. She is responding great to it, however, if you do the math, I gave her a concentration of nutrients equivalent to almost 5.7 tsp/gal. I did this because she is in such a huge pot and I'm only watering 1x / week at this stage.
I didn't give her much water as she didn't appear to require it. I'll water again at the end of this week. I'll be giving her just under 1/4 gal of distilled water with the same amount of tiger bloom next go around--that is a 2.8 tsp/gal concentration. Next week she'll probably require a more frequent watering schedule--I'll water around 1/4gal 2x during the week. To avoid burning the roots, I'll lower the concentration as she starts to demand more frequent watering. I'll give her 1/2 tsp of tiger bloom mixed in with 1/4 gal--this will bring me back up to 5.6 tsp of tiger bloom per week.
