Ok. So I build a stealth grow box and decided to do some changes to the lighting because t12's are no good. I am going to put in 8 42 watt( equivalent to 150 watt)CFL's. What bulbs would be ideal for flowering with cfl's...if any. I was thinking keep 2 Daylight's and switch to 6 warm white. Im not sure and anyone's help would sure help alot.
Box size= 5ftlong, 2.8ft high and 1.5 ft wide.
AND...should I keep any or the flourencent bulbs in there??

Thanks tons:joint:

You can flower with CFLs, but not T-8. I've tried with 200W CFL, 2700K, it's working fabulously. My friend is liquidating it for $65: (647) 500-2221

How many cfls did you use to flower and how many plants? also were there any blueish lights in there at all while flowering?

what kind of wattage, and did you switch for flowering stage?
look at my journal. I don't remember exactly, I think 9 23w cfl bulbs so 200w? but don't quote me on that. It's been a while. I used daylight cfl(6500k) for veg and soft white(2700k) for flower.

Honestly, I hate to sound like a broken record but if I were to do it again knowing what I know now. I'd just grow in what I'm doing now, tent, waterfarm, 400w mh/hps. It was a great first time grow and learning experience.

I was def looking to get a HPS for the future for flowering. do you use it for both veg and flower?
you can veg with a hps but you would be much better off using a Metal Halide or CFL or even floros. HPS doesn't give off the correct spectrum needed for vegetating plants. I got my entire setup for 170, ballast, mh and hps bulb, and cool tube reflector

Now, my ENTIRE setup was a lot more than $170. That was just for lights. Closer to $600 when it's all said and done but I'm looking to yield quite a bit given everything goes the way I want it to.
