Please read the whole topic and answer anything you can, im in serious need, this is my first grow and it has been ridiculously hard, everything from snakes, to choppers, to 70 % seeds male, its just not been going my way unfortunatly

Ok so ive never really added fert or nutes to my plants but i now know that my plants arent getting sufficient lightt so i need to somewhat fill in the gaps somehow

I got this from the old stricly organic green house i used to work for, says its safe for trees, lawns, gardens, whatever

so should i use this stuff? i just went into outdoor flowering and idk if its safe to, im not to knowledgeable about what kinda stuff it needs, but i know nitrogen is good, and the bag says it has it, it also says 4-4-0 on the bag, can someone explain that to me?
fert2.jpgfert1.jpg

Contents:
total nitrogen - 4% (water soluble .50, insoluble 3.50%)
available phosphate - 4%
calcium 3.75%
sulfur - 1.70%
iron - 2%
is all this stuff safe and is it possible to give my plants too much?

i also have miracle grow "all purpose", should i use that too?

and if that fert is safe to use how would i add it to my plan ts, obviously too late to mix in the soil, so can i just like put it down, push it in a bit then water it to help it sink in?

it is ok for early feedings but you will need something with mag and k and more p later in the flower

4-4-0 is not ideal for flowering.. I think you'd be better off with the miracle grow all purpose since it likely has the needed potassium like cacamal said. I just picked up some fox farm tiger bloom for mine that are flowering.

K is potassium. You gotta get some of that in there. The stuff you are using is 4-4-0 which means % of nitrogen, % phosphate, % potassium (N,P,K)
So you have 0 Potassium, and when flowering you want high potassium and phosphate, and lower nitrogen. I'm using tiger bloom for flowering which is 2-8-4 if you could pick something like this up it'd help you out. If you can't shell out the cash go raid your cupboard for some molasses, it generally has 6% potassium and it will feed the microbacteria which is a great thing for plants. Tablespoon/gallon is a good ratio. Hope this helps :bigjoint:

Just FYI, adding food isn't any sort of substitute for insufficient light. That's one gap you can't fill.
actually i checked the suns direction today, and it actually follows right along the open gap in the trees almost the whole day, so i was lucky on that, im starting to think its just the strain, it may not be a very good one, its mid bagseed haha, but actually since i have posted these pics, growth has sky rocketed & 2 more bud sites have appeared on each plant, so i now have 10 sites :) if i can get at least 2 grams a site(likely), that puts me at 20 grams, which i would be happy with i guess

and yes i know that nothing can replace light, but i wasnt planning on using any nutes before, but if i start using them at least it will be more than if i didnt know what i mean?

thanks for all your help harryhood, i already found some mollases, i happened to read that earlier, but i still want to find some specialized blooming ferts, i found some azelia bloom stuff today by the garden shed, and it has ALOT of p and k, but also 17 % nitrogen, and i read today that nitrogen supply should just be cut completely, so thats a bit too much i think haha, yet the miracle grow i mentioned has even more, i believe its at 24%

i'll probably stop by a garden center sometime this week, cash isnt an issue, i just havent really spent too much money on it becuase for 1, i somehow managed to have everything i needed before i even started growing except this one thing, and 2 this is mid grade weed and basicly just a learning experience for next year when i get bank seeds, too bad i dont work at that green house anymore, we had some really good organic ferts & pesticides, only thing was if you used it all you could smell is fish for a day or two xD, i beleive it was called neptunes harvest hahaha, read the above comment tho, some good news :D

EDIT:

Just looked at the azelia nutes and the miracle gro

mg : 24 8 16
azelia stuff: 14 7 7

should i just go with one of these? the nitro is high(probably why i shouldnt) but the p and k are also very high so thats why im wondering

First off,u can use swag-bagseed,and if you take GREAT care of said plants,u can harvest sum good 2 great smoke...secondly DO NOT use mir/gro or alzelia fert, reason being they are both quite acidic,esp-alzelia fert....What'll happen is you'll make the soil's PH to low...IF that happens and ur PH drops below 6,your mj plants roots WILL NOT be able to use the ferts in the soil,NO MATTER how much you add.Its called PH-LOCKOUT...AND UR PLANTS WILL SLOWLY STARVE to death, the leaves will turn funky colors, and die...do sum research on PH-LOCKOUT,lower than 6 or higher than 7 will cause BIG PROBLEMS.MJ needs ph from 6 to 7 for its roots to be able to "EAT" the ferts u feed them...YOU need a fert with a NEUTRAL PH,tiger bloom is 1,so is molasses,GOOD-LUCK,all info is here sum where,u just need to put sum serious HOURS reading bout the wonderful cannibus plant.PEACE.
