Why did it take 2 posts within 2 minutes of each other to relay this thought? I dunno, you don't think you could've just gone back and edited it in to the first post? And did you notice they deleted the poll from yesterday?? I wonder why.....ive got to move to cali me fuck yea..
people investing in my little projects essentially. a friend had them wasn't using them so he gave them to me for a percentage of my yield he is a patient i caregive for so why not hahaYou mentioned a bunch of free 1000w quantum ballasts. How did you manage that?
thanks mansubbed up!
looking sweet!
ya the bare bulb obviously has a huge advantage over running in hoods with glass. i also believe that running vert as opposed to horizontal is much more efficient in light delivery it still puts out a very even spectrum even below it. and with these bulbs running them open is nothing due to the low heat....i WISH i could run 1000s open like this haha i would need 5 tons of ac in each room to run those openWhy did it take 2 posts within 2 minutes of each other to relay this thought? So you run vertical bare bulbs? Right on. Excited about the idea of CMH keeping the temps down with better performance than a 400w HPS!!

Right on! I'm totally stoked! I've got a pretty small area to work with, so the heat output is really exciting with these lamps, thanks for all the great info, mate!Fuck you, Kevin

i am doing a lot of experimentation in my testing room right now with vert lighting. everything has been converted to that i am doing hydro flooded tube vert as well as 4 plants being rotated in vert. i think that is the future of growing. the only downside is the high plant numbers needed to do the flooded tube vert, and the obviously high heat if running higher wattage bulbs. like i said if they come out with a 600w CMH im going to redo all my rooms to run those vertical instead of air cooled horizontal lighting.tell me about it..... we run vertical 1000s and our a/c pulls almost as much power as our room right now
(i do agree about the vert bulbs having better light delivery than horizontal, with or without hoods)
Wow, that's very cool. I hav a very similar design in mind for my future 4' veg ten. Rather though I plan on doing things a bit more horizontal, and stack them. So on bottom is res, then a row of pipes for plants, a fluorescent or t5, above that another row of pipe, then another light.
that would be cool i'm gonna take some pictures today when i go to swap out co2 tanksWow, that's very cool. I hav a very similar design in mind for my future 4' veg ten. I do dig that design, if my tent were just a tad bigger I would go for is round vert design.
Have you guys seen those systems that are like big ferris wheels? Only longer like a tunnel, the lights are in the middle, ante plants spin around the light in the center which is horizontal. At the bottom, the root zone is dipped in the solution, and the plants continue to spin around the outside of the of the light. Fucking genius thinking!
