Is there really a difference?

I am a new grower, in fact i had smoked one joint of leafs in my entire life, and i search on the internet and there is an overwhelming amount of different seeds "types", now i ask, is there really a difference between... for example a jack herer seed (100USD or more), and a....mazar or skunk (15 USD or less)

you guys that had smoked a lot, what do you think about it?

Their are alot of differences between different types of marijuana. Jack Herer is mostly a sativa. Sativas generally have a speedier mood enhancing high. An afghani is a indica and won't be as effective a mood enhancer but it will help with pain more generally. Also indica strains generally make you feel lazier and have a couchlock effect if you smoke to much. Some seeds are hybrids and will have effects of both indica and sativa. There is a huge difference between different types of seeds. The more expensive strain won't always be better. Your gonna have to ask around. You really can't go wrong with anything from TGA/subcool. Btw indicas will finish faster and grow shorter and bushier. Sativas will look more pinetree ish.

i just bought a "big bang" feminized, its was like... 20 dolars or something,, why then people spend then 100 bucks for a seed lol...

Some seeds are better than others, depending on what the goal is. It's just like a car, house, etc. Some things are better and cost more.

Not all seeds are created equal. Its all about good genetics. I personally would never buya feminized seed due to a higher hermi rate and its gonna be a lower quality seed. Also the usually use alot of chemicals to make the seeds and my body is a temple. The best way to choose a strain is to grow what you like to smoke. That's pretty impressive. You got good luck. I still think that a breeder is taking the easy way out when they feminize a seed. I don't feel that feminized seeds are a quality product and alot of times strains are feminized because strains are clone only and the breeder doesn't want to take the time to cross in another plant and then cube it out.

There are major differences. Like Dogs, they are all dogs, can you really tell the difference between a black lab and a chuaua?

but dogs have many more genetic differences
genetics has a huge part in determining weather the dog is a good seeing eye dog,a good herding dog,a good attack ,a good bird dog an so on
genetics tell the weed what to be strong or weak tall or short lots or little bit of tricomes its overall quality structure and lots more
and there are big diff in genetics
always get the best genetics you can get
after you have learned what you are doing start wit medium lower end stuff to practice on
once you know that you know what you doin get great genetics
you will be rewarded
more then 30 % of a perfect product is genetics about 30% your setup and nutes and about 30 the gardener
if all the best finish product will be 100% the best it could be

a shit gardener can turn shit seeds to shit smoke and great seeds to alright smoke
a great gardener can turn shit seeds to allright smoke and great seeds to great smoke
