Hey hops hope things are goin ok over there now. Acapulco gold huh? Sounds tasty. I am going to run up to clear lake up into napa possibly thursday or might take the 101 up to santa rosa go hang out with kotton mouth kings. Were going up there to get a killer deal on some indoor blue berry. I be hitting ya up soon! Keep it up!

Acapulco Gold? Be prepaired for MONSTERS!

Many years ago like 1972-73 I grew some real Acapulco Gold, outdoors. They were the biggest plants I've ever grown! And for me that's saying a lot!

Ya JJ, the guy I got the seeds from had some shots of himself and a bunch of mexican dudes standing in front of a plant that looked like it might have been 15+ and almost as wide....he warned me as well about the size of them. This is just for fun/curiosity and a breeding experiment. I have 2 in 5's and 1 in an 8 or 9 gallon in my backyard. I germed them in late may and i'll be topping or bending to horizontal very soon as one is about to go over the fence.... while I was away on vacation for ten days they grew 2' - no bullshit. One just indicated sex about a week ago - good thing they are in small pots.

Tell me about the product you grew; worth the effort?
Everything I've read about it is cool; gold buds cause they dried em in the sun..? not gonna try that. the stuff I smoked in the late seventies was pretty tasty and fairly potent. Paranoia weed if I remember right. there was a couple year glut of AG, it was everywhere and always had at least a few seeds in a bag. Cured correctly it might be some nice smoke.

I'll definitely share some product if you wanna take a trip down memory lane in Dec or Jan.

Sup all.
Looks like the girls will have to wait 5 MORE days for a feeding. Not liking this. Between work and last weeks' family crisis, The girls got sidelined. That means a massive amount of work this weekend.
Gonna have to make up a ridiculous amount of tea Friday for a Sunday feeding, around 80-90 gallons. That should take about half of the composted chicken and rabbit manure that I have left, gonna start adding a little more alfalfa to my teas from now on and cutting down on the blood meal a bit while boosting the seabird guano for 1 or 2 more feedings (12-6-2).
Liquid kelp stays through the end - as does the blackstrap.

Thanks Dirrtyd for the reply on the nylon trellis but I'm gonna have to go with metal; pain in the ass but I'll have it for years. Probably be doing a bunch of string work here in a month or so as well. Next time I'll put them in a row to make it much easier. I'll post pics on Monday, The Durbans are fun to watch, hope the smoke is real good. Should be a lot of it. Working on making Fem'd seed for them, the Blue widows and some Blue widow/cheese for next year as we speak. I'm gonna have to commandeer the spare bedroom to keep them separated at some point....Not to mention the Maui x Acapulco stunt.

Well, I can't find um! I've looked for 1/2 the day, thru every closet, drawer, box on a shelf, & I can't find those pic's right now. I'm sorry I said anything! My bad.

I try not to make claims that I can't back up.

Suffice to say they were Huge, like the plants in your friends picture. Pure sativa, lanky monsters. We lost so much because we didn't have cages or anything. I think 1/2 the crop was left in the field because it either broke off or just fell over! Several of the plants were 10lb'rs.

We didn't know anything about curing weed. Or letting them finish. We cut the best bud branches with Machete's, 2 weeks early. Rolled them in a tarp for a couple days, dried on a concrete floor. 3' long sativa 'foxtail' buds.

The smoke was wild. It was so cerebral & visual it was like dropping acid. I remember laughing my ass off & being paranoid out of my mind, at the same time, it's some real mind bender!

After a rough week or so I got back to work. Almost lost my 2 year old Beagle who was hit by a car 10 days ago, Severe head trauma, busted up bad. It was tough to watch, as my family is super connected to the dog. They gave her a 50/50 chance and in ten days, she's showed them. She's the same sweet dog minus 1 eye and getting back to normal...fast

My heartfelt condolences to Hodgegrown. I feel your pain; I got lucky, wish you had too.

Okay, [sniff] The girls are looking great in spite of my lack of attention. Crazy green and getting bigger.
Some are showing pistil growth, some not. Hoping the Durbans get busy soon. That's why I'm growing them.

Gave all the girls a big dose of hi N tea with extra Molasses and Alfalfa. That was the last Hi N tea for all except the Durbans; they get 1 more

. After that We go to a more balanced mix; gotta buy that expensive hi P bat guano now.

man hops, if you get a male, I want some pollen!! I would LOVE to have those beans to play with. I bought some Santa Marta Columbian Gold seeds from Reeferman that are supposed to take 24-26 weeks to flower and get huge too.

I germed three, all girls. I've been spraying two branches with colloidal silver for 8 days now, should see some balls in a week+. I also have 10 regular seeds of the AG. If the silver fails I can still try again for a boy.

yea guys we gotta get together this year for some swapping for sure. I'll have some help around here in the fall so I can get away then. I got herds of beans to share that will be interesting. I'm pulling seeds outta my GDP mom right now I hit with a Jamaican OG daddy from Calli conn.

Wheezer them sound like some very interesting beans. We will definitely have to find the time to meet up and share. I'm sure TMB would be interested also could be some good strains going next year for sure. dirrtyd

I got a call from a friend who is giving me on Friday a Masterkush male and a Afropips Tribal Vision male about to drop. Trying to figure an appropriate girl to set them up with.
I have a smallish Skunk #1 female I might hit with the Master seed.
Not sure about the Tribal vision though.

Another Sunday, another photo update.
Gave all the girls their first bloom tea, 5 gallons each, full strength. Just omitted the blood meal, went easy on the rabbit poop and boosted the Alfalfa pellets and Molasses. I have a very large worm bin that is finally ready for harvest. Should be near a hundred pounds to use for upcoming feedings.

Most of the girls are starting to flower except for 2 of the Urkel x OG's and the durbans, which are lagging a bit. Should see some pistils in the next week or so. Here's some pics.
