would a 400w hps light be too hard to keep cool in a grow tent that is 2x2x5? i am debating between a 250 and a 400. what makes me really want to get the 400 is the yield diffrence between them but what makes me scared is not being able to keep it cool enough to grow in there. i know i could keep a 250 at a good temp. does anybody know how much hotter a 400 is than a 250 or has anybody grown with this size room and a 400? someone please help

I have a room 2.5x2.5x5 with 2x 250w lights, and it is hell trying to keep it cool in there...I gotta have my AC in the bedroom on full blast all night just to keep it below the danger zone!

get a 400.....................
you dont think it will be hard to keep the temps right in the tent? smokes like bob says he needs to put ac in grow room (which is a little bit bigger then mine) to keep his 2 250w lights at the right tempeture. what i would like to know is what kind of hood he has for his lights because if he is just using open reflectors for his lights it explains why its so hot. if i were to get a 400w light it would a cooltube which are alot easier to manage. i just dont want to spend my money on a light that i cant use in my grow tent

The AC isn't in the growbox itself, it cools the room that the grow box is in...Get it?

I have normal open reflectors, working on DIY'ing some cool tubes...But yeah, you should be able to keep it cool in there with a cooltube and a decent inline...I'd say no less than 200 cfm's, but the more the merrier.
