I have been reading this board for a while, and its full of useful stuff.
Anyway, I have a Secret Jardin DR80 with 400watt GreenPower HPS, 325m3/h inline fan on a CoolTube. 150m3/h intake fan on the bottom of the tent.
I was thinking of getting a Digital Ballast for noise, but due to pricing and reading that these break faster (no warranty on these in my country), I got a standard Magnetic Ballast instead. Although it is a bit heavy and makes heat, it makes NO NOISE what so ever, so I'm happy I didnt pay double
I will be using BioBizz to grow in soil.
So I got my seeds from SeedBoutique (they took 7 days to arrive, great shipping).
I got Standard seeds only (Feminized are too expensive!): 10 Nirvana White Widow, 5 Amensia Haze from Soma Seeds and 5 Arjan's Haze #1 from Green House Seeds.
So I have heard very good things about Soma's Amnesia, and have started sprouting all 5 of those, plus 2 WW and 1 from Arjans (lets see if I get lucky).
I am hoping to get atleast 1 female from the Amnesia, and have just got the idea to keep a male from the Amnesia to produce my own seeds, so I can later on grow more of this strain without having to pay so much for seeds.
Does this sound like a good idea? I can't keep using clones because I have only one tent for both vegging and flowering.
The only problem I see with this is that I am trying to sprout 5 Amnesia, but 2 WW's and 1 Arjans, therefore, if I only keep one Male Amnesia, it may pollenate my other plants besides the Amnesia, which may be a small price to pay for some very good seeds.
What do you think?
