I decided going to school full time for a career isn't exactly economical. But at least I won't be stuck working a shit job doing busy work.


That in itself is worth being really broke for the next year and a half. Then I get to work in the lower spectrum of my field while I pursue my bachelors. Love having goals.


Fellow unenjoyment workers....go back to college. It's worth it.

I hope you picked a good degree. I have my associates in computer information systems and still can not find work. I know people with a masters working at mcdonalds. lol

My last job as a welder and the last real job I had, I was let go along with a couple other guys and replaced by a robot. I was even told that I was being replaced by a robot.

I'm still collecting unemployment over 2 years later.

hah, i quit my 6 month chef course..shit was not for me...now i am sitting at home, smoking half the day, doing some gardening and planting some sweet stuff to my raised beds....if just someone payed for these kinds of activities at home...

I just got laid off. My wife is pissed she hates me for now , two weeks from harvest though thank god !!! I'm glad money grows on trees

I will start it out:

I have been working since I was 12 and had my first paper route. Almost 40 now.
I got laid off in the beginning of 2009 after being at the same job for close to 7 years and then hurt myself. I was useless to them so they let me go when they got the chance. Now nobody wants to hire a gimp so I am still out of work. Sucks but hey.

And I was a cdl driver and drug tested randomly so I didn't smoke for years. As soon as I got laid off I took a ride to get a bag of weed and been puffing again since. heh

I also used to shave every other day with a straight edge. Since being laid off pffft shaving is for suckers. lol
I really like not having to shave and being able to smoke all day but it is starting to get lame after over 2 years.

So anyone else?
Who else is a bum?

I go to a full time job every day so that I can come home and do a full time job here growing. I'd rather do this full time but it doesn't pay enough yet.

Had a job interview last week for a sales team....i was told "you are PERFECT!....except i hired someone just like you last week"...i looked at him and said "hey they only thing better than one steak dinner is TWO steak dinners"...he didn't buy it. so back to Marvin i go...

I guess you could call me a bum 2 weeks before i graduated from high school in '08 i had got a job at a local convenience store taking peoples money for food, gas, and what not. well i started their 5-11-08 and was fired 5-17-08 so i was their a week the reason i got fired was for walking out i didn't mean to cause i got all antsy in my pantsy from reading the schedule cause i read that i was off but i wasn't so since then i been out of work.

I put in alot of applications and don't get any fucking calls i think i'm cursed because of that job whether or not i put that job down in the employment history so now i'm thinking of going to school to do a auto body paint course cause i have always had a passion for painting cars, right now i'm helping a friend do some work on a '66 Chevelle Malibu so this is a little bit of learning for me also getting a list of supplies so me and him can open a auto detail business.

also because the economy down sucks really bad their are no jobs even though places here are hiring aint that a bitch

5 months and counting, the temp admin market in the UK has really hit hard times, I've signed up to countless agencies and haven't found anything. I'm considering getting a job working nights in warehouse or something until I can find something as the government money sucks.

thats the worst thing anyone can do for you if u have lost or just lost your job....bums need support, so they can get back to feet...ah, what am i talking about, working just plain sucks !
