Leaning plants??

Ok, so 2 of my plants are doing something wierd I have never seen b4. The started growing sideways along grow medium and then upwards like this _____l

They aren't falling over like the stem isnt strong enough or to long.... The light is at just the right spot (any closer and it burns the leaves). The plant looks healthy, just growing funny. The light is directly over the plants so its not like they are stretching for light, there is foil all around as well. They are only 2 weeks old or almost 2 weeks.

Any idea's?

indoor plants tend to be weaker cuz there not exposed to the elements, u could try to have a fan blowing on them to strengthen them, but for now i would just take a rod or sumthin next to the plant for added support

I've had a wonky stem before but never heard of that. Honestly, i suggest training a small fan on them and maybe raise the light a little bit? They'll stretch up for the light maybe. Honestly tho, if you say the stem is strong enough that your plants don't need to be staked up, a lot of growers bend their plants over like that to train them anyway. I say grow it out.

I do doubt that their stem is strong enough if you haven't had a small fan on them yet. Some strains seem to fall right over.

2 weeks? heres my thought: When you watered them, or touched them, maybe a week ago, they fell over since the root system is puny and maybe the soil was too loose. Then they recovered from that, and started growing towards the light again after another week.

I have had a fan on them gently blowing the entire time. The stem isn't weak looking (I have seen the weak stems and what they look like), for their age they are actually thicker stems than I have ever seen growing outside. Their roots are long and strong (hydro system). I check them every 4hrs or so to make sure the light isn't burning them. In the morn they were aimed for the sky and by afternoon they were creeping along surface and up.

Only thing that changed was the night before I had the light a little to close and the tips on one of the plants burned (one of the 2 leaning), I moved the light a foot higher after the lights turned off for the night. Following morning they were normal.. 4-6 hrs later they were like how I described.

I bought it from a grow store online, 250 watt grow light.. I have a flower light too(not on atm until flowering). I can tell you the name but its in my grow room and I am to lazy to go look =P. The whole light setup cost me $300ish, didn't go bigger because I don't plan on more than 4 plants at a time. I only want some weed for myself.. 1/2 lb would last me a year!!
