Cali its a no brainer, but anyone looking for life decisions on a weed forum especially basing them off weed well probably has bigger issues he needs to face.

lol, are you even from MI? When caregivers in MI have overages they can sell it to the dispensaries or go to the Cannamarket.

Why take 2200 a lb during a 3 month stretch of the year in cali for your outdoor when you can sell it for 3600-4k to michigan clubs? you cut 300 off per lb to the person handling the negotiations on the other end and still pull 150% what you would in cali. Because the market is essentially open and selling to clubs is legal the risk falls almost solely on losing parcels in the mail which happens only 2% of the time if done right. People I know used to target east coast colleges as their base markets but now the majority of their contacts have graduated or moved on, Michigan clubs offer lower risk and almost the same return with no fighting for market control. Not only is this bringing back higher profits on stuff grown in their home states but it helps bring better quality to the east, they have no issues getting top dollar for what is sent because the standards are completely different with over 2000 policed miles in between.

To think that only your local bud is in the dispensaries is very close minded, California produces at least 65% of the nations pot with the majority of medically legal states being centralized to the west and top rated consumption states centralized in the north east. Money flows west while bud flows east, the entire nations pot prices revolve around California's outdoor harvest (subsequently Oregon and Washington) with massive price drops from 2200-2400 for outdoor falling as low as 1000 right after harvest. This lowers the prices on the entire west coast and then the mid west (mostly colorado which is the center point for the nations pipelines). The price drops are rippled out through the country with the lowest effects being on the east coast where almost no medical markets exist. Michigans laws at the current time which allow for what I refer to as "open market" meaning "overages" can be sold to dispensaries without breaking the law combined with its geographical location of being the first open market state on the east has opened up unique opportunities for entrepreneurial minded people with some resources and cooperation.

Very true Canadian growers have definitely taken interest in Michigan but most of what comes down people up north aren't concerned about targeting legal markets just the higher profit ones. New York, Philly, Miami end up with most of it.

The majority of what comes down from canada is run by a few major people, when it comes to crossing the border even a large open one people are less willing to take those risks on their own though obviously some do.

many many many tons of what we call beasters going threw michigan for domestic and other us markets... and still a very very large amount of canadian hydro kush comming threw michigan too... alot of it goes here....

While I respect what your saying, some of I think is BS honestly. Cali's prices or outdoor harvest in the Dispensaries where I'm at have nothing to do with their prices. Since its been legal here its been the same old 20 dollars a gram.

Yeah tons of it stops in Michigan, but the demand is still high and with so much dispersing outwards from MI prices havent been affected all that much. Believe me that canada bud was coming to MI long before and laws were even thought of, as long as the price stays high (and it will) thats whats important.

i think the way to do it in michigan is get legal and fuck registering has a caregiver, just find a house in da boonies, with the nearest neighbor like 1/4 mile away and do your thing inside and out...

if you read what I typed I said the east coast is almost unaffected, and to clarify it is entirely unaffected at consumer level. Prices will stay the same at gram level even if lbs drop a few hundred bucks (and they do)

besides dispensaries are businesses at the end of the day, they are in it for profit so if your happy buying at 20g and the quality is higher why would their prices drop. Wholesale and Retail are two entirely different ball games
