Emergency Harvest?!?!?!?!?! PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!!

Hey guys, I need this situation addressed ASAP, so instead of adding to my original post about "Kim", I started a new thread. I noticed this morning that her lower fan leaves have begun to wilt and have become brown, seemingly overnight. The main cola leaves have turned 80% brown and have wilted as well. Now, I just watered her with a minimum of nutrients this morning before I noticed the leaf issue. (i was heavily "medicated" at the time) :D

For a quick history lesson on "Kim", she appears to be a Sativa Dominant hybrid and has been flowering since the first week of June. this puts her at around 12 weeks in flowering mode. Now, should I start an emergency nute flush and plan on harvesting in the next few days and try to save her? or does anyone have any other advice what to do?

These pictures were taken moments ago, let me know what you think. thanks guys!!!

Kim is screwed. <3
Yea looks like it has swelled up a bit, & you're right about the fan leaves dying off, can we get a pic of the entire plant.?.

what lighting. You could just continue with regular water for another week I don't see how that could hurt. As long as your not being attacked by mites or fungus.

Shitty lighting. Dual 18" plant Florescent bulbs and a 70W CFL. No mites or Fungus to speak of. She is in a sealed environment

There is nothing wrong with 'Kim', she is finishing off her life. She probably would have liked more lumens but we all cannot live the good life.

Finish her up with water and the lighting you got and chop her and puff her good sentiments, be glad she finished her life many do not!

Harvest her. Flush her a few days first.
Why did you leave her up for so long? Did you check trichs with a microscope? My guess is, she's a couple weeks past her prime.

How long would you recommend to dry such a spindly plant? less than a week? probably a 10 day cure?

Trichs are cloudy. Im flushing now. No way she is past her prime. She's sativa and its just now 12 weeks with under-powered lighting.

Oh, OK. I see. Yeah....you need a bunch more light for your next grow. Still, you WILL have something to smoke! It will be fine---just flush her quick, chop her and smoke her.

Meantime, look for a HPS on ebay.

How long do you suggest I hang her up to dry for? Since she is so spindly, should I leave whats left of her sun leaves attached so she doesnt dry too quickly? And cure time?

This guys advice is sound.

Regular water flush for a few days then chop her. Plants leaves tend to start dying back in late flower.

Peace,

That's very true. But not always. Some plants look green and robust at the end and you hate to cut them. Kim has had some issues but it's so late into flowering and from what I remember she led a pretty healthy life. Trim her up and it shouldn't take more than four or five days to dry. Then put the buds into a sealed mason jar with a hygrometer. Amazon and eBay have them. You gotta watch the RH inside the jar. Slowly bringing it down to 55% where the cure is done.

If you want good tasting and a smooth smoke you will need to wait a little longer than 10 days, there are lots of factors that go into quality cured bud (no matter the size of harvest). It can depend on moisture level, bud density, drying temperature and humidity, light, et.

If this were my mature lady I would:

  1. Cut her at her base and hang for at least 7 days
  2. Remove all the fan leaves and hang her for another 3 - 7 days
  3. Trim sugar leaves and manicure as required
  4. Have a small taste before jarring
  5. Jar up manicured buds for at least 3 days
  6. Burp (2 hours or so) if necessary
  7. Jar up manicured buds for another 4 days
  8. Start next grow..
  9. Enjoy harvest as required.

I always hang one of these in my drying room. It helps a lot with humidity and odor control and I haven't noticed it changing anything in the plant seeing as it just takes in moisture and doesn't actually pull it out.
