WTF...dude you can't be that stupid....Hate crime laws are both state and federal... 45 states have hate crime laws..Washington being one of them..You asked to show a prosecuted hate crime against a white male victim..done...too bad you not strong enough of a man to admit when wrong and move forward...most be very hard for you to learn things in life..

ya ya ya, but were talking about the civil rights kind of hate crime here, the kind where Mr Eric Holder is involved and the US Government is prosecuting it as a separate crime. So i will give you points for finding ONE STATE that has done it, but lets have something substantial here, like a nice juicy Federal case.

You know one of the men involved with the Shane MClellan incident was convicted? Sure was, he is a Somalian refugee, he won't be deported, instead he will be out of prison in under 6 years for basically what comes down to assault with a deadly weapon, Terrorizing, torture, and a hate crime.

if a pack of gays beat a hetero to death while taunting them with "breeder" and the like, they would be up for hate crime just the same.

There's no indication it was a thought (hate) crime.

Witnesses at the scene did not mention to the coppers any anti-gay slurs being shouted during the fight. Those reports did not come out until afterward; and these witnesses told reporters, not the coppers.

The fact that a person who died as a result of injuries received in a fight happened to be gay does not make it a thought (hate) crime. Just another senseless tragedy.

This thought (hate) crime has the look of being manufactured, after the fact; when the dead guy turned out to be a homosexual.

The fact that it occurred in Michelle Bachmann's hometown was just icing on the cake.

WATERLOO, Iowa --- Police have released the cause of death in the case of a Waterloo teen who died Sunday after he was found unconscious Friday morning.

Officials with the Iowa Medical Examiner's Office determined Marcellus Andrews, 19, of Waterloo, died of blunt force trauma to his head, police said Tuesday.

No arrests have been made, and officers are still investigating the incident.

Witnesses had told The Courier that people involved in the fight had taunted Andrews with anti-gay slurs, but police said none of the witnesses mentioned the slurs in interviews with detectives.

Police also said that anti-gay sentiment wasn't behind the assault.

According to police, Andrews was at a friend's house in the 200 block of Cottage Street shortly before 1 a.m. Friday when people in a vehicle pulled up, and a fight ensued. Paramedics flew Andrews to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, and he died Sunday afternoon after he was removed from life support.

His funeral is scheduled for Saturday.

Let me get this straight. You SPECULATE on what my response would be; and based on THAT, you determine I am pathetic.

Well here is my actual response: I say it was a fight that escalated into a brawl.

Which, to answer LF's point, is probably why no one has been arrested yet.

In a situation like that it is very difficult to determine who delivered the fatal blows.
