If I can give you any more advice it would be, you will need to run some clothesline between the pvc to support the plastic, it will sag. Also, it would be best if the roof had a slant to it, not flat.

Some kind of screen or mesh on the walls keeps a lot of the butterflies out.

Yes I do! I am going to work on a way to cover mine up. I was thinking 6 mill plastic or a clear mesh tarp. :)

Hey you dudes from Sac think I'll need some kind of roof over my girls in the Bay Area? I know it can get rainy here in the fall some times and lots some bud last yr because of mold after a rain but my plant was pretty small.

thanks man and ya i was thinkin about how i was goin to keep the plastic from saggin never thought of clotheslines. and the roof will have a slant to it the middle is 7ft while the outer edges are only 6ft. i figured a foot of fall would be enough to keep the water from pooling up. i could add more fall if i needed to. but thanks for the help again i appreciate it. and abm go for it, i dont know the dimensions of ur garden but mine is 25' x 20' and it only cost me $102... granted i got most of the supplies half off but without the discount it wouldve only cost $177 which is still pretty reasonable. unless u can find a carport on good ol' craigslist.

Yep I was looking at plastic last night and I have access to 3 home improvement stores so all I need to do is head out with som cash and a plan. :)

ya its a great idea... my cousin and i were thinkin about it for a minute, whether we thought it would sag or not. we both thought it would but couldnt think of a cheap and easy way to prevent that, thats what guys like djj are here for. one more question tho djj how do u attach the plastic to ur frame? im sure u have answered this on one of ur 100 and somethin page grow journal but i dont have the time nor energy to look through it for the answer. i was thinkin about just using those orange clamps that u can get from home depot. what do ya think?

I think I may have to turn my garden into a giant green house next year now >,< lol. I was already planning on expanding for next year I suppose I could always throw a roof on that bitch. Hey I have a question for you. why is it the Sac craigslist has no herb for sale on it ? I go up to Davis for the weekends like 2-4 times a month and have noticed a serious lack.. down here in the central valley that shit is loaded up with adds.

I am not sure! I used to see it alot but they started getting flagged left and right some time ago. That and I heard of a few shady dealings as well via CL.
