Anyone ever use Dry wall as a Calcium supplement?

I have not but I think that is a very good idea to check out. I'm gonna have to do some research on that one. Right off the top I'm thinking major chemical issues. I know a couple years ago, the chinese got in trouble yet again for selling us drywall contaminated with something and I'm not sure at this point what it was but about half of all houses built durring a two year period were contaminated with this stuff and it wasn't good. If I was going to do it I would buy American drywall for sure. I'm not a health or organic nut but I don't go out of my way to injest chem's either. Anyhow good idea though!
yes you can, calcium sulfate is it's chemical name. a good suplement for clay soils as it increases drainage.
Pro Mix contains it along with dolomite lime, which I strongly recommend you also use in conjuction with gyproc.

Drywall has all sorts of stuff added as fillers and is usually not pure gypsum. I do know that they use ash from paper making operations as a filler, so who knows what else? This was down in Ga. BTW.
Just get the pure gypsum.

Yeah!! So do they!! Not saying to use just anything but if you can find a pure replacement and pay a third of what AN charges then I say go for it. Got to do some homework but you can save a lot of money with a little home work. But then again, I liked McGiver, so don't listen to me
Not sure sulpher or wood ash would be a big problem unless the wood ash was newsprint. ink might be a problem.
