Why exactly are you worried about heat signature?

If money ain't a thang, and its all legel, then build a greenhouse. Its not even a question. I have been growing indoors for the better part of a decade, and I would walk away from it right now for my own greenhouse. In fact, I am now going to quietly beat myself up over the poor decisions I have made in life thus far that have lead to me not have my own greenhouse. You can't see it but I'm hanging my head very, very low.

Play with one expensive ass led light in a small closet grow inside as a side project, and see if you even like it. Don't buy a ring for a bitch you haven't even fucked.

Started a 600W Blackstar grow. LED's are dam fine. People that bash it shouldn't knock it till they tried it

That's my problem with most led bashers. It would appear that for the most part people are hating just to hate. If you've had a bad led experience please share. Chances are you were using a shitty brand or simply not enough. Granted the latter could be because companies have been misleading consumers about the coverage area of their lamps, a practice I simply do not agree with, however if you have 2/3 the wattage you had with hps/mh/cmh/clf it will work and work well if you bought good panels. In addition to Danny's journal feel free to check mine (in my sig). I've got four different strains of autos at four weeks old that are every inch as big and nasty as they would have been under hps.

As for the money I used to use high end hps bulbs at around 50 bucks a pop times two 400w units. My leds are under a three year warranty so doing some very simple math replacing a bulb every 6 months which is recommended to maintain lumenus efficiacy (esp when running them 20 hours a day on autos) times two bulbs is $100 every six months times three years is $600, not to mention the power savings so if you have lights under a solid warranty the long term math balances out. Plus my buds are way tastier under led than hps. Just my experience thus far. Feel free to shit away on it.

Thank you for all the information guys! Sorry I was out for a few days and I wasn't able to sign on. Thanks for saving my friend from that scam. Does anyone have a reputable company that they've purchased LED's from and had a good experience? I'm also interested in this Greenhouse idea. - This is possible and we thought of this idea before the LED's. How would you make a greenhouse that allows proper light penetration but is still Private and Discreet. Would it be possible to grow crops year-round with a greenhouse and no lights? Thanks for all the helpful advice that so many members have contributed so far, it is very much appreciated. Thank you all!

I use Hydroponics Hut and Grow LED Hydro (not Hydro Grow LED). They work well for me, but I'm sure you would also get good panels from Pro Source, Stealth, or Advanced. Blackstars are ok but if money isn't an issue I'd grow with higher end panels if for nothing else the extended warranty.

Building a discreet greenhouse without lighting that would allow for year round crops would, in my opinion, be a very difficult process - especially if you're new to growing (saw you're new to the forum didn't know if you're new to the hobby). I can in good conscience highly recommend Hydroponicshut.com check the site they have many links to grows featuring their leds. I'll also add the customer serivce has been excellent.
