Alright alright, I feel bad now. I guess I qualify as anyone.
no hard feelings bro.
Hello RIU, ok i got my plant in my closet, as u can see in the pics. I got a feeling that my setup is poor and i want my plant to get the most out of the light but i cant cover everything with milar.
Mylar will increase your ambient light, which is the light bouncing around the room. Think about it, if the real magic happens within a few inches of the bulb, then how much will mylar walls help for 3 cfls? You'd be far better off taking the money you spent on mylar and buying some more bulbs.
So i was thinking of getting a big box u know make it my tent. Only concern is how am i going to work the lights. I know they need to be atleast 1 or 2 inch away from the plant. Working with 3 cfl daylight 100 watt each 5000k. Also the tent will be good so when i switch to darkness no light will disrupt her sleep.
Any ideas, and i know this might be a dumb thread but i just dont know what to do and want my plant to get back on track.Sorry about my ghetto setup but hey its better then nothing. Sorry its so long Thank you.
There's nothing wrong with ghetto setups, people do some amazing shit with next to nothing. But you need more light. Your light is the single most important part of your grow. Not the mylar, not the tent. That's why your plants suck. Cardboard boxes work great as flowering rooms, just make sure you get one large enough like the ones homeless people sleep in.
I don't understand what you mean by "how am I going to work the lights". Yes, they need to be within a few inches of your plants. 18/6 or 24/0 for veg, 12/12 for flowering. 5600k (you have these) are good for veg, 2700k for flower. If you're looking for ideas on how to mount them, check out my sig for a wiring tutorial, I used the absolute cheapest shit you can find. CFLs can be wired and used in any configuration. You can mount them to a standing or hanging pvc rig, plywood, scrap metal, you can even use soda cans as reflectors no bs, thread is in the DIY forum. Point is, you can add as many wired bulbs as you want to your grow for about $5-$6 each.
FYI, your bulbs aren't 100w, true 100w cfls cost like, $40 each. I think you're using 26w cfls and giving us the equivalent wattage? Growers don't use equivalent wattage because nobody uses incandescents to grow pot. It's useless.
Peace out, bro
