Hey all, just want to first off say great site, I realize now after reading the site Ive made a ton of mistakes. Have a couple questions. I made a green house out of a plastic tot with small 80mm fans on the site a grow light and just a ultra bright light, both florescent. The temps read around 80-83 with the lights on and at night it gets around 70. I didnt know if this was a good way or not to get some results. I made the mistake of using miracle grow and to not let the chlorine evaporate from the water. Do you think this harvest is dead or could they be salvaged?

Sorry if youve answered these questions a thousand times but I appreciate it.

I made the mistake of using miracle grow
What's wrong with using miracle gro? I've been using miracle gro moisture control, and my plants are thriving. I got Marijuana Buds for Less by SeeMoreBuds, and HE uses miracle gro and manages to yield 8 oz. There's also a post by FilthyFletch, where he says he uses it too, and he's got pics of his plants.

I don't know what other mistakes you might have made, but maybe the fact that you used miracle gro isn't that big of a deal.

dude i love that cat he looks so blazed.... but yeah thats the point... i'm glad to hear you like that miracle grow its what i'm using in my first grow and i was thinking about switching but may not cause my little gals look good. they got about 3-4 inches and bout ten leaves in the first week and a half so i don't see a point yet. sorry to but in just like the advice.

Well I just thought Miracle Grow was bad, since most people it seems on here doesnt like it or prefers something else. My main question was, is the green house i made with the tote, cling wrap and fans is a good idea and the fact that I didnt let the chlorine evaporate from the water if the plants were salvagable. I do that now, just didnt start that way.

Miracle grow is generally disliked, BUT there are people who grow amazing plants with it. If it works for you, then stick with it. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

The greenhouse sounds iffy. I'm leaning towards 'bad idea', simply because everyone else grows fine without one, and I think it's likely to cause heat/humidity problems. BUT your temperatures seem very nice right now (close to the high side, but not there yet). If your humidity is consistently good as well (around 50%), then I would keep it. And yes, that means you should measure your humidity.

As for the chlorine, that's fine. Just do it from now on. If the plants are green and look healthy, then you're A-okay. Unlike humans, plants will tell you when something is wrong. If they look healthy, they are healthy, so don't even consider killing them.
