Switching over to SOIL!

Its official I'm hanging up the hydroponics for soil. thats right through with the air pumps and air lines, the clogs, the intense cleaning routine. The dumping of gallons upon gallons of water weekly. The mediums that hold onto fertilizer salts. The scrubbing of res and/or buckets... just over it

I Picked up hydroponics 7 years ago after just one soil grow and will be putting it down for good. Cant say that I'm going to miss hydro all that much at this point. It can be a real bitch to deal with at times LOL

so my question is are there any guys/ladies who have switched from hydro to soil as well?

and if so could you help me out with some tips or things to be aware of when switching?

personal experiences, anything like that, from the perspective of those who have switched.

I dont know how to grow in soil. Ive only done it once. Any input from former hydro growers (like myself) who have switched over to soil would be more than excellent...TY

I have an old wick system in the garage too that I havent used in YEARS Im sure it has tons of interesting forms of fungus growing in the res and on the pots...whats your PO box? LOL

Try the Aquavalve self watering system this is a great setup, all the benefits of soil and hydro. gravity fed from a 37 litre res that you ph once at each nutrient change. Simplicity itself.

do you start clones or do you start from seeds? because if you start from clones and you want to be able to get clones off the mother plant fast then I would keep a mother plant or 2 on Hydro

Im talkin about getting rid of the old soil for something usefull & covert,instead of a lawn that grows grass in the winter months

I went hydro then aero originally from soil about 10 years ago and would never go back as its so much easy to do hydro.You set it up and can even leave for days with no issue. Im doing a few types right now posting. I have an aero,flood table, and a soli grow going.The soil is killing me thought shit takes about 3 months longer to grow and Im not looking forward to dumping all that damn dirt someplace. The flood table almost caught the dirt grow and it started 2 months later and the aero will have caught both even though it started 2 weeks after the flood..You l be back after seeing you only get 2 soil grows a year instaed of 8-12 hydroponically lol

You have to be kidding me 3 months longer to grow indoors? Not an option I would be climbing the walls LOL

Arent their highly aerated grow mediums that assist with faster plant growth that can be used in a soil type grow?

There must be a method other than hydro thats similar to soil growing with faster results then simple soil

or is this just my imagination?

even tho im speaking against what im doing now. because im growing indoors with soil. keep the hydro setup. i started in soil and will be transplanting outdoors later this year. next winter or later this summer i will be switching to DWC. and just so u know i have no experance with hydro only soil. im very muching looking foward to my DWC setup later. im gitting to know the plant right now in soil. i have convenced myself that a plant will grow as fast as it can with a healthy root system. i would assume growing dwc or any hydro setup would play hand in hand with my healthy root system theory.
