Continual ReVeg Cycling

they talk about revegging a plant.
is there any reason i CANT keep revegging cycle in cycle out?

advantages :
1) saves cutting and growing clones
2) saves buying and disposing of medium (coco in my case)
3) plants have very advanced root system straight away

just seems flawless, but ive never heard of people doing it, so i figure there must be a reason, but im not seeing it

*hhhmm.. well.. i would assume it would be possible to do so, not sure what happens after the 3rd reveg' reach-around..

thats a good thread on the basics of how to reveg, but doesnt address my question
im thinking more in line with what rose growers do, prune the shit outta it every year, and it just bounces back stronger than before

I think the best way is to just go ahead and try it and if you do you should keep a log about what you do and how you do it and what changes.

I am going on my third re-veg now as i am about to chop my second re-veg in a couple weeks. Now if i was a betting man i would say that the only thing that changes would be obviously the light cycle and as far as i know i say that you would not need a lot of light to accomplish a re-vegging stage..Now being that im in soil if i chose to do what you are suggesting i would in fact need to go larger in pot size and add soil to it as time goes because the roots syatem when you re-veg will still be growing..Other tehn that i see it as a simple re-veg because the main fact is you will have to revert the plant back to a re-veg stage before you flower again..i dont think chopping all the buds off and leaving it in flowering cycle will produce anything but i could be wrong!!!

One thing i did notice is that your re-veg new growth stems etc. are just that new! and if you start flowering to soon you will have stems and shoots that will not carry the weight of the buds as mine are nowso the re-veg should be long enough to get good strong shoots before flipping back to flower...

What would happen if you grew a female... started flowering it... pollinated it so it produced seeds.... and then revegged it... then flowered it again? would the second flowering phase produce female buds? I imagine? idk i was just thinking about this.. probably would, i was just wondering.. any input? any possible uses for doin this? perhaps for breeding purposes?

it sounds like your doing what i was thinking.
in hydro, as long as there is enough nute/water i figure the pot doesnt have to be too big. its more a case of whether I loose mass yield by revegging, or whether it will hermie after doing this a few times.
I just seem to suck at cloning, and i have a perpetual system with a number of rooms in different stages at any time. adding a reveg stage shouldnt be an issue as long as it doesnt take too long.

Would like to see you document your results from this experiment. Seems to me that revegging a larger plant would cause huge amounts of stress to it. If it does work by the 3rd or 4th time the plant would be redic huge it would seem. Esp since cutting the buds off is gonna encourage more branching.
