what about a horizontal pot?

i can't seem to find any information on this. if i used a horizontal pot throughout my plants life will it effect it differently? what if the pot is 2-3 gallons just less vertical space?

laying the pot on it side can be a horizontal pot. If you have the floor space go for it. Might be messy, watering will be a hassle.

thats what I mean. a pot that is longer rather than taller. it would still have the same space just less vertical space.

I have about a 5 week old plant LSTing nowbut I want to be able to put it in a large enough container for bigger grow/yield but i just wouldnt have the vertical space.

If you don't have the vertical space, why not grow some lowryders/autos/indicas? Nothing else you could really do about that.

the only thing i've heard about when growing in wider containers is that the plants will get as wide as their containers will allow for.. so, the wider your pots, the wider that the plants will get as the only limiting factor for how wide a plant will grow is it's pot.. so, if you want shorter, bushier plants, wider pots are the way to go.. this is why beds really kick ass for bushy plants..
so, if you want shorter, bushier plants, wider containers / beds are the way to do it..

no problem m8 as i had the same thoughts that you do and i did some looking into it and that is the info that i ended up finding on it..
my grow space is small, but i have lots of head room, so i was actually thinking of doing the opposite of what you were thinking of, and doing narrow, but really deep pots, but after reading what i read, i decided against it, lol..
it's funny though, my last grow, i was still sexing plants, so i had one in like a 1 litre container that was really narrow, and i'll be damned, the plant that was in it was super lanky and narrow as all get out.. proof enough for me really..
