moving plants inside and outside?

hey all,

the type of plant i have is Northen lights autoflower

my question is does it matter if i move my two plants inside under a light during night, and have them outside in the sun during the day?

will this shock the plant? and maybe slow growth?
or will it help the plant since its natural sunlight half of the time?

About the only time this is a problem is when a plant is young/seedling or a clone that doesn't have a root set yet

the sun maaay will and can burn the shit out of tender plants. Other than that I move my few that I have in a tent inside out into the sun everyday.

They LOVE the Sun.

what age would you say i should start putting the plants outside?

mine is about 5 days above soil. ( only first true leaves have grown, and its started to grow its second pair)

and thank you for the reply, i will be sure to put them in sunlight when they get older.

I did that in the first few weeks of one of my plants. the problem that happens is that the plant will constantly have to adapt to the new temperatures, environment. you want to try to keep everything at a constant. most people will say that it will stress the plant out, and it will, but not significantly. i would say its fine in veg stage but i would pick outside or inside for flowering.

Different strains are different I usually set my seedlings out in the sun and keep an eye on them to watch for wilting or limpness

if they stay strong I leave them otherwise a little sun each day until it can take it.

are you trying to go 24hrs or 18/6??...i know i used to move from cfls to sunlight coming through windows and it worked out pretty good. not autoflower tho. they will love the sunlight just try to stick to a schedual if possible.
