confused about curing

alright i know that like when u cure it u put it in like a mason jar or somthn and seal it for a certain amount of time, then u take the lid off for a certain amount of time then put it back on and keep doin that until u get it till u like it, but once u get the weed to where u like it and u go to store it like in a jar, when u store if do u have to take the lid off every now and then still, cus wont the moisture start building up again after i go to store it in the jar? im sorry im just really confused on that part, and i know curing means dam near everything on how good the weed will turn out, i just dont wanna mess it up

so, once you have dried weed you want to put it in an air-tight jar or something (glass or plastic). After about 12 hrs. check on the shit curing and the moisture should have had enough time to distribute itself evenly. Now you can either let it dry for longer (if needed) or you can start opening the jar 1-2 times a day "burping", until you get it where you want it.

then from there i like to let it cure for @ least 2 weeks before i smoke any.

It's called sweating. After harvest throw all into a large garbage bag or smaller vessel for 24 hrs. Then 3 days drying at 40% humidity. Open air. temp 72-77degrees

but after i am done curing it, and i want to store it in a jar, or something do i still have to take the lid off everyone now and then? and would it mess it up if i was curing it, and i cured for like a week or two, and then just threw it in a bag? cus if i stored it in a jar after i was done curing it, wouldnt the moisture build up too much?

once properly cured, you can keep it sealed
there are threads that describe the process in more detail
i've used the one which uses a humidity meter(for cigars), when you get to a RH of 55-60%, you can store as long as you like

i've had jars closed up for a month or 2, no longer than that, but i do see posts of others that have gone longer

once burping is done I keep mine sealed and open as little as possible. I still have a little left from last Nov. still smokes and taste great.

Once properly cured and a good humidity level has been reached (45-55% is my preference) you can store the cured weed in the containers for a very long time.
Some people store for a year in the burping containers, you just have to remember that heat, humidity and light can all affect your product, even while it's in the container.

If you want to keep it for a long time you can freeze your cured weed, I know of a person who has still got 5 year old weed in the freezer and it tastes and smells delicious still.

I gotta confess I've never had weed to store. Like who stores weed? Well I guess a lot of people do. But my shit flies out the door. I've always wanted to bring out a jar of shit for friends and say, " yeah this is some great shit. I cured it for nine months". But the reality is there is too much demand and not enough supply so it just never worked out. There. I feel better already.
