what's the point if this is how you all gain it?

I've gotten so many gray and 1 and 2 point reps for my guides and posts in the newbie section and occasionally stroll over here. If I get a +40 or something from here, I don't feel like that's really such a bad thing. I think it's better than people getting rep boosted for bashing people or rep boosted for posting a bag of bud they bought. I've gotten 20+ likes on a single comment that I got 10 gray +reps for. I mean, I've posted on this forum maybe 50 times in toke n talk? I'm not gonna lie, I'd like to see the 11th, but I do still hit the newbie and the general growing thread most of the time. I just finished a 4 month experimental grow set up that I posted in advanced techniques that if I get it perfected could take the best from topping, LST, and scrog and have them all being done at the same time with minimal tying and no top net. But I swear to god it's damn annoying to look at my rep page and see straight grays after being on the newbie forum all day. Not that I'm complaining about helping people, but I wanna be a peacock dammit. LoL
