Who's tryin to get a job? (and tryin to stay clean?)

I'm right there with ya. I'd consider myself a semi regular smoker... but I've been struggling since I quit my last job 6 months ago. As of now, I'm clean and ready to test for any job that wants me... and I'm an extremely committed and hard-nosed, worker... problem is, I just haven't gotten a response on any applications I've put in (and i've put in nearly 20).

But yeah I guess I just wanna say, it's extremely tough when your peers offer you dank ass shit, but you turn it down time after time in the slight hope that you get a job. How do you guys deal with being offfered bud all the time when you gotta turn it down?

Anyone else in the same boat? We all know the economy sucks right now... just seeing how my peers are doing.

goodluck finding work, the economy does suck but you're doing the right thing by staying clean and being prepared. i hope you find something soon.

i look for jobs here and there. i thougth i was going to get one but they haven't called. i wasn't sure if i wanted to sit at a desk all day anyway.

i feel like my time is better spent getting a job that doesnt test rather than going on a t-break to get clean for just any old job.

right now i work part time for a collective. i just come in...do some trimming...every now and then deal with paperwork...sometimes i get to tend to a plant or two :)

its not consistent work but it gets me through to the next week. definitely not how i wanna live long term.

i once put in (i shit you not) 100+ applications with the only callbacks being commission pay only jobs & some mlm (multi-level marketing) crap scam.


My credentials aren't amazing. just a hs grad with some work experience.

i do wanna work towards (soon as i figure out what i wanna do) starting a business of my own...similar to say like an independent electrician or locksmith, etc. maybe just not those careers exactly.

i had the locks changed on my house a few yrs ago (lost the keys and figured better change em b4 someone tries to break in while im away) and called a locksmith (owned his own locksmith biz). He changed the locks (after hrs on a sunday of course so it was hella $$$$).

after he was finished we spoke for a few mins and asked him how he liked his job and the company he worked for. said he owned the van he worked out of (thats where he disappeared to make the copies of the keys) and that its his own company. said he clears 6 figures a year! (6 figures profit that is).

i figure thats the best option anyone can have. working for yourself. you set your hrs. work on call if you want or be strictly appt only. seems a hell of a lot better than being stressed with drug testing, a 9-5 work schedule, limited days off, a boss/manager/supervisor on your ass etc.

seems like a kick back stress free way of life.

the locksmith i talked to said working for himself was the best thing he ever did and im tempted to do the same as soon as i can find my calling.

im not sure what though.

In college full time man, but I have had 2 internships both of which tested for drugs.

Goat pee. Best thing I've ever used. Ever.

Basically you can pass any drug test no matter how much you smoke. Just dump the goat pee in there instead of your pee!

Hey guys. Sorry to hear about your situations without a job when a job is needed. I'm only 21 and coming out of college this year so I am sure I will be sharing your situation soon. My question to you are, do you/have you thought of growing? A small garden could easily be a little stress relief. With a small risk, you could make a grand a month if you knew someone trusting enough to sell the final product; maybe even medical. Any thoughts?

But yeah, I've been trying to get a steady job since March. Unfortunately the only places that are really hiring are retail places, and obviously they all test. It just sucks watching all my friends blaze up and offer me some... but I gotta turn it down, despite the fact I'm dying for a toke haha. Sure I could spark up... but it'd set me back another week or two before I could pee clean. I'd hate to lose out on a job opportunity cause I smoked one time.

Sure I could jump through hoops to try to pass the test... but at this point, I'm already clean, so why go through it? I'm dying to smoke... but I need cash, I'm between a rock and hard place haha

dude, your kidding right? I worked at the local headshop and we sold it for 20 bucks...... can probably find it online for cheaper... never had a single person come in and say it didn't work. trust me........goat pee =)

I aint got no job but I'm on government assistance for something I was diagnosed with. Plus I can get a studio apartment for 25% of my total income which works out to $175 a month. I got seeds, I got a 230 CFM fan, got nutes, just gotta buy my lighting kit which I priced a 1000 watt for $301 and a roll of mylar for $50 from a local wholesale hydro store. Gonna do the G thing and hustle my ass off

its easy I know people who smoke, they'll buy my weed. $10 a gram, 30 1/8, 60 quarter, 100 a half, 200 an ounce. I'll be selling a few ounces a week. I don't need a lot of money, I can survive well on 1000 a month and I already make 700 on disability
